Entry Level Technical Project Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level technical project manager job?
Focus on demonstrating coordination skills through internships, capstone projects, or volunteer work where you managed timelines or cross-functional tasks. Certifications like CAPM or a foundational Agile credential help signal readiness when experience is limited. Tailor your resume to show tools you know, such as Jira or Trello, and emphasize outcomes you delivered even in academic or informal settings.
Which companies hire entry level technical project managers?
Companies hiring entry level technical project managers right now include Netskope, Molex, and Tesla, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of large enterprises building out structured PMO teams and mid-size tech firms that onboard junior coordinators to support growing product and engineering pipelines.
Are there remote entry level technical project manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 33% of entry level technical project manager openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, which makes this a realistic option for candidates who aren't tied to a specific city. Hybrid roles are particularly common at larger organizations that prefer some in-office presence for onboarding new hires.
Are these new grad technical project manager jobs?
Yes. These listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior technical project manager roles specifically. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and accepts internships, coursework, or a portfolio in place of full-time work history. Look for language like "entry level," "recent graduates welcome," or "0 to 2 years" in the job description as a reliable signal.
Which industries hire the most entry level technical project managers?
Entry Level technical project manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Staffing & Recruiting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to hire at the junior level because they run large volumes of concurrent projects, creating a steady need for coordinators who can track deliverables and keep stakeholders aligned even without deep prior experience.
