Align your portfolio to Adobe's architecture scale
Adobe's Architectural Engineer roles emphasize distributed systems, cloud-native design, and platform reliability across Creative Cloud and Document Cloud. Tailor your portfolio to show experience at comparable product scale, not just general enterprise architecture work.
Confirm the role supports your visa category
Not every Architectural Engineer opening at Adobe is approved for all visa types. Before applying, verify the posting explicitly mentions sponsorship or use Migrate Mate to filter Adobe roles by the visa category you need, whether H-1B, E-3, or TN.
Get your specialty occupation framing right
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for architecture-adjacent engineering roles. Make sure your offer letter and employer's H-1B petition describe duties requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a directly related field, not general engineering.
Target Adobe's internal transfer and referral pipeline
Adobe frequently promotes from its contractor and intern pool for senior Architectural Engineer positions. If you're on F-1 OPT or CPT, a contract-to-hire path through Adobe's vendor network can give you an inside track before a direct sponsorship decision is required.
Prepare for a PERM timeline if targeting a Green Card
Adobe sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Architectural Engineers, but PERM labor certification with DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS adjudication even begins. Factor that into your overall timeline, especially if your H-1B is approaching its six-year limit.
Use your 60-day grace period strategically
If a previous role ended and you're in your 60-day H-1B grace period, Adobe's size means active requisitions exist year-round. File your cap-exempt H-1B transfer with USCIS as soon as Adobe issues an offer, not after your start date, to stay in valid status.

Find Architectural Engineer at Adobe JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Architectural Engineers?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Architectural Engineer roles. Adobe is a cap-exempt employer for H-1B transfers, meaning it can file petitions year-round without waiting for the annual lottery. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Adobe can initiate a transfer once an offer is extended, and you can start working as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
How do I apply for Architectural Engineer jobs at Adobe?
Apply directly through Adobe's careers portal and filter by engineering or architecture functions. You can also browse Adobe's open Architectural Engineer roles filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces only positions where sponsorship is actively supported. Tailor your application to reflect Adobe's cloud platform environment and document your experience with large-scale distributed systems clearly in your resume.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly use for Architectural Engineer roles?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for Architectural Engineer positions, with H-1B being the most common pathway for long-term employment. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and follows a separate consular process. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering occupations. Adobe also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Architectural Engineers in longer-tenured roles.
What qualifications does Adobe expect for Architectural Engineer roles?
Adobe's Architectural Engineer positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related technical field. Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, API design, and large-scale distributed systems is expected. For H-1B purposes, your degree must align directly with the role's defined specialty occupation, so generalist engineering backgrounds without a specific field match can create petition complications.
How do I think about timing when targeting an Architectural Engineer role at Adobe on a visa?
If you need a new H-1B cap slot, you must register during USCIS's annual lottery window, typically in March for an October 1 start date. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, there's no lottery and Adobe can petition year-round. F-1 OPT gives you up to 12 months of work authorization, with a 24-month STEM extension available, which provides enough runway to secure an H-1B transfer through Adobe's sponsorship process.
