Align your portfolio to Adobe's AI stack
Adobe's AI roles center on generative models, multimodal systems, and creative AI research tied to Firefly and Sensei. Tailor your GitHub portfolio and project writeups to reflect these specific domains before applying, not after.
Clarify your visa category before interviewing
Adobe sponsors multiple visa categories including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Knowing which pathway applies to you before your recruiter screen lets you answer sponsorship questions confidently instead of stalling the offer timeline.
Time OPT applications around Adobe's hiring cycles
If you're on F-1 OPT, STEM OPT extension gives you up to 24 additional months of work authorization. Adobe is E-Verify enrolled, which is a requirement for STEM OPT employers, so your extension eligibility is not at risk here.
Use Migrate Mate to find open AI roles at Adobe
Adobe's AI engineering roles don't always surface clearly on general job boards. Migrate Mate filters specifically for visa-sponsored Software Engineer AI positions at Adobe, saving you time verifying which postings are open to sponsored candidates.
Front-load your specialty occupation documentation
H-1B petitions for AI roles at product companies like Adobe require clear specialty occupation support. Gather transcripts, a detailed job description, and evidence that your degree field directly maps to the role's technical requirements before your employer files Form I-129.
Negotiate your start date around USCIS processing windows
If your H-1B cap-subject petition needs to clear before you can start, premium processing through USCIS cuts the adjudication window to 15 business days. Build that timeline into your offer negotiation so your start date is realistic.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineer AIs?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer AI roles. Adobe participates in the H-1B cap and lottery process for new hires who need cap-subject petitions, and it also files cap-exempt amendments and extensions for existing employees. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer to Adobe is typically more straightforward since it doesn't require a new lottery entry.
How do I apply for Software Engineer AI jobs at Adobe?
Apply directly through Adobe's careers site, and filter by AI or machine learning engineering roles. Roles in this function typically require a strong foundation in deep learning, large language models, or generative AI systems. You can also browse verified visa-sponsored Software Engineer AI openings at Adobe through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles specifically open to sponsored candidates.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly use for Software Engineer AI roles?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for engineering roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, and Adobe's E-Verify enrollment makes it eligible for STEM OPT extensions. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa pathway, which has no lottery and significantly shorter wait times than the H-1B cap process.
What qualifications does Adobe expect for Software Engineer AI roles?
Adobe's AI engineering roles typically require a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, machine learning, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with neural network frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX, along with familiarity with large-scale model training or inference optimization, is expected. Research publication history or experience in generative AI or multimodal systems strengthens your candidacy for roles tied to Firefly and Adobe's AI platform.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Adobe for a Software Engineer AI offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. For cap-subject H-1B petitions, you must be selected in the April lottery for an October 1 start date, meaning the total timeline from offer to authorization can run six months or more. E-3 and TN applications can move in weeks. Standard USCIS processing for H-1B transfers takes one to three months, but premium processing through USCIS shortens adjudication to 15 business days.
