Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires Architectural Engineer roles to meet specialty occupation criteria, meaning your degree must directly relate to the position. A civil or electrical engineering degree maps cleanly, but a broader construction management background may need supporting documentation to pass H-1B adjudication.
Target Schneider Electric's building infrastructure business unit
Schneider Electric's architectural engineering openings cluster around their EcoStruxure building platform and data center division. Tailoring your application to projects involving power distribution, building automation, or energy efficiency puts you squarely in the roles that drive their sponsorship activity.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter Migrate Mate's job board by visa type and role to find Architectural Engineer openings at Schneider Electric that are actively accepting sponsored candidates. This cuts out positions where sponsorship eligibility is unclear before you invest time applying.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B, E-3, and permanent residence pathways, but not every hiring manager controls that decision. Before signing, confirm in writing whether the offer includes PERM-based Green Card support or only temporary status, since EB-2 and EB-3 timelines vary significantly by your country of birth.
File your LCA well before your H-1B start date
Your employer must get DOL certification for a Labor Condition Application before USCIS can adjudicate your H-1B petition. For a large manufacturer like Schneider Electric, internal procurement and legal review add weeks to that process, so flag your timeline to HR early.
Use your E-3 eligibility as a negotiating advantage if you are Australian
The E-3 visa is uncapped and processes significantly faster than H-1B, with no lottery risk. If you hold Australian citizenship, proactively raising E-3 as the filing vehicle makes the sponsorship conversation simpler for Schneider Electric's immigration team and can accelerate your start date.

Find Architectural Engineer at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Architectural Engineers?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Architectural Engineers. The company works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation standards. Because H-1B is subject to the annual lottery, timing your application and confirming sponsorship intent with the hiring team before the March registration window is essential.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly use for Architectural Engineer roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B for most international Architectural Engineer hires. Australian citizens can also qualify for the E-3 visa, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Schneider Electric supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process, though timelines vary by country of birth and priority date.
How do I apply for Architectural Engineer jobs at Schneider Electric?
Applications go through Schneider Electric's careers portal, where you can filter by job function and location. Before applying, use Migrate Mate to identify which Architectural Engineer openings at Schneider Electric are verified as visa-sponsoring roles. When you apply, be direct in your cover materials about your visa requirement so the hiring team can confirm sponsorship eligibility early in the process.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Architectural Engineer candidates?
Schneider Electric typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline. Familiarity with building systems integration, power distribution design, or low-voltage infrastructure is a strong differentiator. Experience with EcoStruxure or comparable building management platforms, along with PE licensure or active candidacy, strengthens both your application and your H-1B specialty occupation case.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Architectural Engineer role at Schneider Electric?
For H-1B, the timeline from offer to work authorization can run six to twelve months, accounting for DOL Labor Condition Application certification, USCIS adjudication, and lottery selection in April. E-3 applicants can move faster, often securing a visa stamp within four to eight weeks of receiving a certified LCA. PERM-based Green Card processes run separately and can take several years depending on priority dates.
