Align your credentials to U.S. licensing standards
JPMorganChase's facilities and construction teams expect familiarity with IBC codes and NCARB pathways. If your architectural credentials are from outside the U.S., document how your qualifications map to state licensure requirements before you apply.
Target JPMorganChase's corporate real estate pipeline
Architectural Engineer openings at JPMorganChase sit within corporate real estate and global facilities, not client-facing banking divisions. Searching those internal business units directly surfaces roles faster than browsing general engineering job categories.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
JPMorganChase sponsors multiple visa categories for engineering functions. Use Migrate Mate to filter Architectural Engineer openings specifically by the visa type you need, so you're only applying where your sponsorship situation is already supported.
Prepare for a portfolio review early in the process
Hiring managers at large financial institutions assess project complexity and scope, not just credentials. Assembling a portfolio that highlights large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects positions you well before any technical interview stage.
Understand how H-1B cap timing affects your start date
If you're cap-subject, your H-1B petition can only be filed once per year with an October 1 start date. Align your JPMorganChase offer timeline accordingly, and confirm with your future employer whether premium processing is part of their standard filing practice.
Ask HR directly about PERM sponsorship eligibility
JPMorganChase sponsors Green Cards for certain engineering roles, but PERM eligibility depends on the specific position classification and business unit. Clarify during the offer stage whether the role qualifies, since not every engineering position automatically falls under the permanent sponsorship track.

Find Architectural Engineer at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Architectural Engineers?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Architectural Engineers. The company has an active immigration program and files petitions across engineering and technical functions. If you're cap-subject, timing your offer to align with the annual H-1B registration window in March is critical. Confirm with the recruiting team which visa categories the specific role supports before accepting an offer.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly use for Architectural Engineer roles?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for engineering roles. H-1B is the most common path for most internationally qualified candidates. E-3 applies exclusively to Australian citizens, and H-1B1 is available for Chilean and Singaporean nationals. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is possible for qualifying positions but is typically discussed after an initial period of employment.
How do I apply for Architectural Engineer jobs at JPMorganChase?
Applications go through JPMorganChase's careers portal, where you can search by job function and location. Roles in this category sit under corporate real estate and facilities management rather than technology or finance divisions. Migrate Mate also lists JPMorganChase Architectural Engineer openings filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you identify roles already aligned with your work authorization needs before you apply.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for Architectural Engineer positions?
JPMorganChase typically looks for a bachelor's degree in architecture or architectural engineering, with preference for candidates who have experience on large-scale commercial or corporate real estate projects. Familiarity with U.S. building codes, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM workflows is expected. Professional licensure or active pursuit of NCARB certification strengthens your application, particularly for senior-level roles overseeing new construction or major renovations.
How do I manage the timeline between a JPMorganChase offer and my visa filing?
Once you have an offer, your employer's immigration counsel handles the petition filing with USCIS. For H-1B, registrations open in March and approvals carry an October 1 start date, so offers made in late spring or summer often involve a waiting period. H-1B1 and E-3 petitions operate outside the cap system and can be filed year-round, which significantly compresses the timeline from offer to authorized start date.
