We are seeking experienced Machine Safety Engineers and Machinery Risk Assessment Consultants to support a major project involving a group of manufacturing facilities across North America. The project will involve conducting on-site machinery risk assessments across a large network of manufacturing locations, identifying hazards, evaluating risks and documenting recommendations to improve machinery safety and compliance. We are looking to engage several independent contractors who can contribute to this substantial project, with opportunities for continued work as the programme develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site machinery risk assessments across manufacturing facilities.
- Apply ISO 12100 to identify hazards, estimate and evaluate risks, and determine appropriate risk reduction measures.
- Assess machinery, production equipment and associated safety measures for potential hazards and non-compliance.
- Identify unsafe conditions and recommend practical engineering or procedural improvements.
- Produce clear, structured risk assessment reports and supporting documentation.
- Apply ISO 13849 principles where relevant to safety-related control systems.
- Work directly with customer site teams and communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Travel to customer locations for assignments typically lasting one to two weeks at a time.
