Align your CV to Altos Labs research programs
Altos Labs structures hiring around specific rejuvenation biology programs. Tailor your CV to mirror their published research focus areas, not just your job title. Reviewers are scientists themselves and will notice a generic application.
Understand how TN applies to Scientist roles
Canadian and Mexican nationals can qualify for TN status under the Chemist, Biologist, or Scientific Technician categories depending on the specific Scientist role. Confirm with the hiring team which TN classification aligns with your offer letter's job duties.
Ask about EB-2 NIW suitability early in negotiations
Research Scientists with a strong publication record may qualify for EB-2 National Interest Waiver without employer-sponsored PERM. Raise this with Altos Labs during the offer stage, as some candidates self-petition in parallel with employer-sponsored pathways.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Scientist roles
Altos Labs posts Scientist openings across multiple research sites. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles that match your visa type and specialization, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing.
Prepare your credential documentation before the offer
Altos Labs Scientist roles require a relevant doctoral degree, and H-1B specialty occupation determinations hinge on degree-to-role alignment. Have your official transcripts and any foreign credential evaluations ready before the offer letter stage to avoid delays.

Find Scientist at Altos Labs JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Altos Labs sponsor H-1B visas for Scientists?
Yes, Altos Labs sponsors H-1B visas for Scientist roles. The company has an established sponsorship process for research talent and works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Altos Labs can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
How do I apply for Scientist jobs at Altos Labs?
Scientist positions at Altos Labs are posted on their careers page and updated regularly across research sites. You can also browse open roles filtered by visa eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces Altos Labs listings where sponsorship is confirmed. The interview process typically involves a screening call, a scientific presentation, and multiple rounds with research leadership.
Which visa types does Altos Labs commonly use for Scientist roles?
Altos Labs sponsors H-1B visas for most Scientist hires and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates in research roles. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role maps to a qualifying USMCA category such as Biologist or Chemist. For senior Scientists, Altos Labs also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions.
What qualifications does Altos Labs expect for Scientist roles?
Most Scientist positions at Altos Labs require a Ph.D. in a relevant field such as cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or computational biology. Postdoctoral experience is common but not always required. Because H-1B classification depends on a direct connection between your degree field and the job duties, your application is stronger when your research background maps closely to the specific program you're joining.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Scientist role at Altos Labs?
For H-1B transfers from another employer, you can start within days of USCIS receiving the petition. For new H-1B cap-subject filings, petitions are submitted in April for an October 1 start date, so timing your offer accordingly matters. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship for EB-3 typically takes one to three years from initiation, while EB-2 NIW timelines vary based on your priority date and country of birth.
