Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Software Engineer Jobs at American Structurepoint Jobs
Align your degree to civil engineering software domains
American Structurepoint operates in infrastructure and construction, so framing your CS or software engineering degree around GIS, CAD tooling, or project management systems strengthens your specialty occupation case when your employer files an H-1B petition with USCIS.
Check DOL LCA filings before your interview
Before your interview, search DOL's FLAG system for American Structurepoint's Labor Condition Applications. This shows which Software Engineer roles they've recently sponsored and the prevailing wage levels tied to those positions in Indianapolis.
Flag OPT or CPT eligibility early in the process
If you're on F-1 status, tell your recruiter upfront whether you have OPT or CPT authorization remaining. American Structurepoint has brought on F-1 candidates before, and knowing your work authorization window helps them plan around project timelines.
Target roles tied to internal software product development
American Structurepoint develops proprietary tools alongside their consulting work. Software Engineer roles building internal platforms tend to have stronger specialty occupation documentation, which makes the H-1B petition process more straightforward than generalist support roles.
Prepare for a longer path if pursuing permanent residence
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM requires your employer to document recruitment efforts before filing. At an AEC firm like American Structurepoint, that process can take 18 to 36 months, so raise Green Card intent during the offer negotiation stage, not after you start.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Software Engineer roles
Browse Software Engineer listings at American Structurepoint filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. You can identify which open roles align with your visa category and target your application before positions are filled from non-sponsored candidate pools.

Find Software Engineer at American Structurepoint JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does American Structurepoint sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, American Structurepoint sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineers. The company operates in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector, and Software Engineer roles tied to infrastructure software or proprietary platform development typically satisfy the specialty occupation requirement USCIS looks for when evaluating H-1B petitions.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Engineer roles at American Structurepoint?
American Structurepoint has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for technical roles. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering the company, while H-1B is the primary long-term work visa. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying software roles.
What qualifications are expected for Software Engineer roles at American Structurepoint?
Most Software Engineer roles at American Structurepoint require a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience with enterprise application development, .NET, or GIS-related technologies is valued given the company's infrastructure and construction focus. Roles supporting internal tooling or data systems may also require familiarity with engineering workflows.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at American Structurepoint?
You can find and filter Software Engineer openings at American Structurepoint by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which makes it easy to identify roles that match your work authorization status. Once you've identified a role, apply directly through American Structurepoint's careers portal and flag your visa status clearly in your application or cover letter so their HR team can route you correctly from the start.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and filing deadlines?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer needs to file your H-1B petition by April 1 to maintain status continuity. Target American Structurepoint roles at least six months before your OPT expires so there's enough runway to complete the offer process, secure an LCA from DOL, and file before the cap deadline.
