Align Your Credentials to PE Licensure Expectations
American Structurepoint values engineers progressing toward Professional Engineer licensure. Before applying, verify your foreign degree equivalency through a NACES-member evaluation service so your credentials read clearly to a U.S. engineering hiring team.
Target Roles Tied to Infrastructure Project Pipelines
Engineering hiring at firms like American Structurepoint follows project wins, especially in transportation and municipal infrastructure. Watch for job postings that reference active DOT contracts or capital improvement programs, since those roles carry longer-term sponsorship timelines.
Browse Open Engineering Roles on Migrate Mate
Filtering by verified sponsorship history saves time when you're targeting construction and real estate employers. Use Migrate Mate to surface American Structurepoint's current engineering openings alongside their sponsorship track record before you apply.
Understand How PERM Affects Your Green Card Timeline
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, American Structurepoint must complete PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your immigrant petition. This process typically takes one to two years and requires the role to meet specific minimum requirements, so discuss this pathway before accepting an offer.
Prepare a Portfolio Showing Project Delivery Experience
Engineering candidates at infrastructure-focused firms are evaluated on project execution, not just technical knowledge. Bring documented examples of design deliverables, QA reviews, or field coordination work that reflect the construction and real estate sectors American Structurepoint operates in.

Does American Structurepoint sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, American Structurepoint sponsors H-1B visas for engineering roles. The company has a consistent record of filing H-1B petitions for qualified engineers across civil, structural, and transportation disciplines. Because H-1B cap-subject filings must be submitted in April for an October 1 start, coordinate your application timeline with the hiring team well in advance of that window.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at American Structurepoint?
Applications go through American Structurepoint's careers portal, where engineering roles are listed by discipline and location. Tailor your resume to reflect project experience in infrastructure, transportation, or municipal engineering since those align with the firm's core service lines. Migrate Mate also lists American Structurepoint's open engineering positions filtered by sponsorship eligibility, which makes it easier to confirm a role before applying.
Which visa types does American Structurepoint commonly use for Engineering roles?
American Structurepoint sponsors a range of visa types for engineering positions, including H-1B for specialty occupation roles, F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering categories, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant pathways for longer-term Green Card sponsorship. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in your career.
What qualifications does American Structurepoint expect for sponsored Engineering positions?
Most engineering roles require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline such as civil, structural, environmental, or transportation engineering. For H-1B eligibility, the position must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning a specific degree is required for the role. Candidates progressing toward or holding a Professional Engineer license are viewed favorably, particularly for mid-level and senior positions.
How do I time my application if I need H-1B sponsorship to work at American Structurepoint?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed with USCIS in early April, with employment starting no earlier than October 1 of the same year. If you're finishing OPT or transitioning from another status, you need a job offer in hand before the registration window opens in March. Engage the recruiting team at American Structurepoint several months ahead of that deadline to confirm they can meet the filing timeline.
