Frame your analytics experience around biopharma contexts
Amgen's Business Analyst roles typically support clinical operations, commercial planning, or supply chain functions. Tailor your resume and portfolio to show experience with life sciences data, regulatory reporting workflows, or ERP systems used in pharmaceutical environments.
Target roles aligned with your degree field
H-1B and E-3 eligibility for Business Analyst positions requires a specialty occupation finding. A degree in business analytics, information systems, or life sciences strengthens your petition. Avoid applying for roles scoped so broadly that any bachelor's degree would satisfy the requirement.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Business Analyst roles at Amgen
Sponsorship-friendly postings can disappear quickly. Search Migrate Mate to filter Amgen's Business Analyst openings by visa type, so you're applying to roles where your immigration status is already a known variable for the hiring team.
Clarify sponsorship scope during recruiter screens
Amgen's talent acquisition teams handle high-volume hiring across functions. During your initial recruiter call, ask directly whether the specific Business Analyst team has budget and precedent for your visa category. Green Card sponsorship timelines, including PERM, vary by business unit.

Find Business Analyst at Amgen JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Amgen sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
Yes, Amgen sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analyst roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given the analytical and technical requirements tied to biopharma operations. Your degree field matters: a background in business analytics, information systems, or a related discipline strengthens the specialty occupation argument during USCIS adjudication. Cap-subject candidates must enter through the annual H-1B lottery, which runs each March.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at Amgen?
Applications go through Amgen's careers portal, where Business Analyst roles are posted by business unit, including commercial, operations, and R&D functions. You can also browse open positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your materials to the specific functional area, since a Business Analyst supporting clinical trials has a different scope than one supporting finance or supply chain.
Which visa types does Amgen commonly use for Business Analyst roles?
Amgen sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Business Analyst roles, as well as immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. Australian nationals on the E-3 avoid the H-1B lottery entirely. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the USMCA if the role maps to an eligible TN occupation category such as management consultant or systems analyst.
What qualifications does Amgen expect for Business Analyst roles?
Most Business Analyst postings at Amgen expect a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, data analytics, life sciences, or computer science, plus experience with data visualization tools, SQL, or enterprise platforms like SAP or Veeva. Roles supporting R&D or regulatory functions may require familiarity with GxP environments. An advanced degree can strengthen both your candidacy and your immigration petition, particularly for EB-2 pathways.
How do I think about timing if Amgen offers me visa sponsorship?
Timeline depends on visa type. E-3 and TN can move quickly, often within weeks of an offer. H-1B cap-subject cases require lottery selection in March and cannot start before October 1 of that year. STEM OPT extensions give F-1 holders up to 24 additional months of work authorization while an H-1B petition is pending, which keeps you working continuously through the transition.
