Frame your BA credentials around consulting delivery
UST's Business Analyst roles sit at the intersection of client-facing consulting and technology implementation. Tailor your resume to show requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, and delivery outcomes on enterprise or digital transformation projects, not just internal process work.
Target UST's industry verticals strategically
UST concentrates heavily in banking, insurance, healthcare, and retail technology. Highlighting domain-specific BA experience in one of these verticals makes your application materially stronger than a generalist profile when competing for the same open requisition.
Clarify your visa status early in recruiter conversations
UST's talent acquisition team regularly navigates H-1B transfers and new filings. State your current status and authorization timeline upfront so the recruiter can route you correctly and confirm whether the role's start date aligns with filing windows.
Understand how H-1B transfers affect your start date
If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, UST can file a transfer petition and you're authorized to begin work once USCIS receives it. You don't need to wait for approval, but confirm the filing is submitted before your last day at your current employer.
Search verified sponsoring BA roles using Migrate Mate
Filter Business Analyst openings by visa type on Migrate Mate to find UST roles where H-1B or Green Card sponsorship is confirmed. This saves you from applying to positions where sponsorship is ambiguous or unavailable for your status.
Anticipate the PERM timeline if green card is your goal
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM requires DOL labor market testing before USCIS filing. For a Business Analyst role, this process typically takes one to two years from initiation, so raise long-term sponsorship intent during offer negotiations, not after you've signed.

Find Business Analyst at UST JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UST sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
Yes, UST sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analyst roles. The company operates as a technology and consulting services firm with a consistent pattern of filing H-1B petitions for this function. If you're currently on an H-1B with another employer, UST can initiate a transfer, which allows you to begin work once USCIS receives the petition rather than waiting for a full approval.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at UST?
You can browse and apply for Business Analyst openings at UST directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, make sure your resume reflects the specific delivery context UST hires for: client-facing projects, enterprise technology, and cross-functional stakeholder work rather than purely internal operations.
Which visa types does UST commonly use for Business Analyst roles?
UST primarily sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analysts, which covers specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, UST also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process filed with the Department of Labor. The path offered typically depends on your role level and tenure with the company.
What qualifications does UST expect for Business Analyst roles?
UST generally looks for a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline. Practical experience with requirements documentation, process modeling, and stakeholder management on technology delivery projects carries significant weight. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and exposure to one of UST's core industry verticals, such as financial services, healthcare, or retail technology, strengthens your profile considerably.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and filing cycle?
The H-1B cap lottery registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. If you're not already on an H-1B, you'll need to be registered in the lottery before UST can file a petition on your behalf. Cap-exempt candidates, including those transferring an existing H-1B from another employer, can be filed year-round without waiting for the annual cycle. Confirm your status category with UST's HR team early in the process.
