INTRODUCTION
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq ARWR) is a commercial stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead's RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing.
Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates.
Arrowhead's corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI & San Diego, CA, and a state of the art manufacturing facility in Verona, WI. Align your credentials to RNAi-specific requirements
Arrowhead's pipeline centers on RNA interference therapeutics, so framing your degree and lab experience around nucleic acid chemistry, gene silencing, or oligonucleotide pharmacology strengthens your application for specialty occupation classification under an H-1B or EB petition.
Verify the LCA wage level before accepting an offer
For H-1B filings, your employer submits a Labor Condition Application to the DOL certifying the offered wage meets prevailing standards. Request confirmation that your offered salary aligns with at least a Level II wage for your specific job title and work location.
Ask directly about EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship timelines
Arrowhead sponsors employment-based Green Cards, but PERM labor certification adds significant time before an I-140 can be filed. Clarify during negotiations whether the company initiates PERM after a defined tenure and which preference category your role would qualify under.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Pharmaceutical roles by visa type
Searching broadly across job boards makes it hard to surface roles where TN, EB-2, or F-1 OPT is explicitly supported. Migrate Mate lets you filter Arrowhead's open Pharmaceutical positions by the specific visa categories the company sponsors.
Prepare a specialty occupation documentation package early
USCIS scrutinizes pharmaceutical roles where job duties could theoretically be performed without a specific degree. Gather syllabi, transcripts, and a detailed job duty breakdown showing the theoretical and practical application of your field of study to Arrowhead's drug development work.

Find Pharmaceutical at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas for Pharmaceuticals?
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals has a history of sponsoring employment-based visas for Pharmaceutical roles, and H-1B sponsorship is part of that picture. The company's focus on RNAi therapeutics means most qualifying positions require a specific scientific degree, which supports the specialty occupation standard USCIS uses to approve H-1B petitions. Confirming sponsorship availability for a specific role is best done during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Pharmaceutical jobs at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Applications go through Arrowhead's careers portal, where Pharmaceutical openings are listed by department and location. Before applying, confirm the role aligns with your visa category and authorization timeline. Migrate Mate aggregates Arrowhead's open Pharmaceutical positions filtered by visa sponsorship type, which makes it easier to identify the right roles before you submit.
Which visa types are commonly used for Pharmaceutical roles at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Arrowhead sponsors a range of visa categories for Pharmaceutical positions, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Cards under EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying scientific occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates in chemistry, pharmacology, or biomedical sciences.
What qualifications are expected for Pharmaceutical roles at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Most Pharmaceutical positions at Arrowhead require at least a bachelor's degree in a life sciences field, with advanced degrees common for research-focused roles. Given Arrowhead's RNAi focus, backgrounds in molecular biology, biochemistry, or pharmaceutical sciences are directly relevant. For visa purposes, your degree should map clearly to the job duties, since USCIS requires a specific field-to-role connection for specialty occupation approval.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Pharmaceutical offer at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow the April 1 filing window with an October 1 start date, meaning you could wait six months or more from offer to start. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry the same day. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically spans one to three years before I-140 approval, excluding priority date backlogs.
