Description
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead’s RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing. Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates. Arrowhead’s corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA. Our employees are nimble, science-driven innovators who are collaborating to bring new therapies to patients in need.

Frame Your Biotech BD Experience Precisely
Arrowhead's partnership function centers on licensing, co-development, and alliance management for RNA-targeted therapeutics. Tailor your resume to reflect deal structuring, term sheet negotiation, or program governance experience in biopharma, not generalist business development.
Verify Your TN Eligibility Before Applying
Canadian and Mexican nationals qualify for TN status under the USMCA if your role is classified as a qualifying profession. Partnership Development Manager positions often qualify under Business Person categories, but confirm your specific title maps correctly with an immigration attorney before the offer stage.
Time OPT Applications Around Arrowhead's Hiring Cycles
Arrowhead recruits partnership roles throughout the year, not just in spring. File your OPT application with USCIS 90 days before your program end date so your work authorization is active when an offer arrives, avoiding gaps that stall onboarding.
Prepare a Specialty Occupation Justification Early
H-1B approval for partnership roles in pharma requires demonstrating the position is a specialty occupation. Gather documentation showing the role demands at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field like life sciences, business, or pharmacology, not just general management experience.
Search Arrowhead's Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Partnership Development Manager openings at Arrowhead are posted across multiple channels. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible positions at Arrowhead so you apply only to roles actively open to visa holders, saving time on applications that won't advance.
Engage Arrowhead's Recruiter on Sponsorship Timing Early
Arrowhead's HR team handles EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings internally for long-term hires. Raise your visa situation before the final interview round, not after the offer, so the team can assess PERM labor certification timelines against your authorization window without scrambling.

Does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals has sponsored work visas for roles across its business development and commercial functions. H-1B sponsorship for Partnership Development Managers is possible, but it depends on the role being classified as a specialty occupation and the H-1B cap lottery if you're not already in H-1B status. Candidates already on OPT or transferring from another H-1B employer avoid the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Applications go through Arrowhead's careers portal on their official website. You can also find and filter sponsorship-eligible Partnership Development Manager openings at Arrowhead through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles verified for visa holders. Tailor your application to highlight alliance management, licensing deal experience, and familiarity with RNA-targeted or nucleic acid therapeutics programs.
Which visa types are commonly used for Partnership Development Manager roles at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Arrowhead has sponsored F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for early-career hires and candidates transitioning from graduate programs in life sciences or business. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business roles. For longer-term employment, Arrowhead supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification filed with the DOL.
What qualifications does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals expect for Partnership Development Manager candidates?
Arrowhead's partnership roles typically require a background in life sciences combined with demonstrated experience in biopharma deal-making, licensing negotiations, or alliance governance. An advanced degree in biology, pharmacology, or business is common. Candidates with hands-on exposure to RNAi, gene silencing, or nucleic acid therapeutics stand out because they can engage directly with Arrowhead's scientific teams on partnered programs.
How do I plan my timeline if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Standard OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization after graduation. If your degree is in a STEM field, a 24-month STEM OPT extension filed with USCIS extends that to 36 months total, which creates enough runway for Arrowhead to initiate H-1B sponsorship in the next April lottery cycle. Apply to Arrowhead roles at least three to four months before your current OPT expires to give HR adequate time to prepare the petition.
