Description
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead’s RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing. Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates. Arrowhead’s corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA. Our employees are nimble, science-driven innovators who are collaborating to bring new therapies to patients in need.

Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Account Manager roles at a clinical-stage biotech like Arrowhead typically require a life sciences or business degree tied directly to the function. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation status for commercial roles, so document how your degree field connects to pharmaceutical account management specifically.
Target Arrowhead's therapeutic area focus in applications
Arrowhead's pipeline centers on RNAi therapeutics for liver and pulmonary diseases. Account Managers who can speak to rare disease commercialization, specialty pharmacy channels, or hepatology market access stand out from generalist candidates and signal immediate value to the hiring team.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Account Manager openings by sponsorship type
Arrowhead sponsors multiple visa categories for this function. Migrate Mate lets you filter active Account Manager listings by the specific visa type you hold or need, so you're applying only where your immigration situation is already a known fit.
Clarify OPT or CPT authorization before your first interview
If you're on F-1 status, confirm with your DSO that Account Manager work at a pharmaceutical company qualifies under your authorized field of study. Misaligned authorization can complicate Arrowhead's E-Verify compliance check during onboarding, creating delays after an offer is extended.
Understand the TN timeline for Canadian and Mexican candidates
TN classification for management consultants or scientific roles can be processed at the border or port of entry, which compresses Arrowhead's hiring timeline. Prepare your employment letter specifying the Account Manager duties and educational qualifications well before your start date.
Ask about the PERM timeline during offer negotiation
If you're targeting a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, ask Arrowhead's HR or immigration counsel when PERM recruitment typically begins for Account Manager roles. Understanding whether the company initiates the process at hire or after a tenure milestone helps you plan your long-term status strategy.

Does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas for Account Managers?
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals does not appear in public records as a consistent H-1B sponsor for Account Manager roles. The company's documented sponsorship for this function skews toward green card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN classifications. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for you, raise it directly during the offer stage and confirm with Arrowhead's HR team before accepting.
How do I apply for Account Manager jobs at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Applications go through Arrowhead's careers portal, where Account Manager roles are listed by therapeutic area and region. Migrate Mate also aggregates these openings and lets you filter by the visa type you need, so you can identify which listings align with your immigration status before investing time in the application. Tailor your resume to highlight pharmaceutical commercial experience and any rare disease or specialty therapy exposure.
Which visa types are commonly used for Account Manager roles at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Arrowhead's sponsorship activity for Account Manager positions spans F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, EB-2, and EB-3 classifications. OPT and CPT are most relevant for recent graduates on F-1 status entering commercial roles. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. EB-2 and EB-3 represent the longer-term green card pathway for candidates Arrowhead intends to retain.
What qualifications does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals expect for Account Manager candidates?
Arrowhead's Account Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or business, combined with experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales. Familiarity with specialty therapy markets, rare disease patient pathways, or hepatology is a meaningful differentiator given Arrowhead's pipeline focus. USCIS also requires that your degree field connect directly to the account management function for the role to qualify as a specialty occupation under most work visa categories.
How do I plan my immigration timeline when pursuing an Account Manager role at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility early since Account Manager roles at a biotech may qualify depending on your degree. TN candidates can often start within weeks of an offer. For EB-2 or EB-3 green card paths, PERM labor certification through DOL can take one to two years before USCIS petition filing even begins, so align your long-term status planning with Arrowhead's HR team from the start.
