Description
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead’s RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing. Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates. Arrowhead’s corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA. Our employees are nimble, science-driven innovators who are collaborating to bring new therapies to patients in need.

Align your background with RNAi therapeutics
Arrowhead's Sales Manager roles focus on specialty therapeutics, not general pharma. Hiring managers look for experience selling biologics, gene therapies, or RNA-based drugs. Reframe your resume around rare disease or specialty accounts before applying.
Verify your degree supports specialty occupation classification
Sales Manager roles in biotech often require a life sciences or business degree to qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B or EB-2 criteria. USCIS scrutinizes commercial roles heavily, so confirm your degree field maps cleanly to the job description before the offer stage.
Target Arrowhead's commercial expansion markets
Arrowhead is actively building out its commercial infrastructure as its pipeline advances toward launch. Sales Manager openings tend to cluster around therapeutic areas entering late-stage trials or recent FDA approvals. Prioritize roles tied to those programs when browsing open positions.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship openings
Not every Sales Manager posting at a biotech will lead to a sponsored hire. Use Migrate Mate to identify Arrowhead roles confirmed to support visa filings, so you spend your time on applications that have a real path to sponsorship.
Negotiate TN status as a fast interim step
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN status can get you working within days of an offer without a USCIS petition. For Sales Manager roles at a biotech, the management consultant or scientific technician TN category may apply depending on your degree and responsibilities.

Find Sales Manager at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Managers?
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals has sponsored work visas for commercial and scientific roles, but H-1B sponsorship for Sales Manager positions depends on whether the specific role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Biotech sales roles that require a relevant degree in life sciences or business are more likely to qualify. Confirm the sponsorship intent with the recruiter early in the process, before the offer stage.
How do I apply for Sales Manager jobs at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Applications go through Arrowhead's careers portal, where roles are listed by therapeutic area and region. Tailoring your application to the specific pipeline program the role supports, whether cardiovascular, liver disease, or pulmonary, strengthens your candidacy. You can also browse verified Sales Manager openings at Arrowhead that include sponsorship details through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Manager roles at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Sales Managers at Arrowhead have been supported through F-1 OPT and CPT during early career stages, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 through PERM. H-1B sponsorship is possible where the role meets specialty occupation criteria. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in your career.
What qualifications does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals expect for Sales Manager roles?
Arrowhead typically looks for candidates with a background in life sciences or business, direct experience selling specialty or biologic therapeutics, and a track record managing key accounts or territory teams. Given the company's pipeline focus on RNA interference, familiarity with rare disease, hepatology, or cardiometabolic markets is a meaningful differentiator. Prior launch experience is valued as Arrowhead advances products toward commercialization.
How do I time a visa filing around a Sales Manager offer from Arrowhead?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT end date against the expected start date and build in time for USCIS processing if an H-1B cap-exempt or change of status filing is needed. TN approvals at the border can happen same-day for eligible nationals. For PERM-based Green Card filings, DOL recruitment requirements mean the process takes well over a year, so ask Arrowhead's HR team about their standard timeline before your start date.
