Description
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead’s RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing. Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates. Arrowhead’s corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA. Our employees are nimble, science-driven innovators who are collaborating to bring new therapies to patients in need.

Translate your science background into commercial credentials
Arrowhead hires Sales Account Managers who can speak credibly to physicians and specialists about RNAi therapeutics. A degree in life sciences, pharmacology, or a related field strengthens both your candidacy and the specialty occupation argument for H-1B or EB-2 sponsorship.
Target territories aligned with Arrowhead's pipeline focus
Arrowhead's sales roles are tied to its cardiometabolic and hepatology portfolio. Research which U.S. regions have active commercial activity for those disease areas, then focus your outreach on openings in those territories to increase your relevance to the hiring team.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before your first interview
TN visa holders and F-1 OPT candidates should confirm with the recruiter upfront whether your current authorization covers the role's start date. For OPT, your 90-day unemployment clock starts immediately, so timeline alignment with Arrowhead's hiring cycle matters.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales Account Manager openings by sponsorship type
Arrowhead posts multiple Sales Account Manager openings across territories at once. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for roles where Arrowhead has sponsored the visa category you need, saving you from applying to positions where sponsorship isn't available.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage requirements before negotiating
For EB-2 or EB-3 PERM-based sponsorship, DOL sets the prevailing wage for your role and location, not the employer. Understanding the wage level for a pharmaceutical sales role in your target territory helps you evaluate offers that will actually clear the PERM filing threshold.
Align your offer letter language with H-1B petition requirements
Before USCIS approves an H-1B for a Sales Account Manager, the petition must demonstrate the role requires a specific bachelor's degree. Ask Arrowhead's HR team to ensure your offer letter and job description reflect that specialty occupation standard, not a generalized sales role description.

Find Sales Account Manager at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Account Managers?
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals has sponsored employment-based visas for candidates in commercial roles, and Sales Account Manager positions in the pharmaceutical industry can qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B criteria when the role requires a degree in a specific field such as life sciences or pharmacology. You should confirm sponsorship availability directly with Arrowhead's recruiter for the specific territory you're applying to, as sponsorship decisions are made role by role.
How do I apply for Sales Account Manager jobs at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
You can browse current Sales Account Manager openings at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where sponsorship has been filed for this function. Applications typically go through Arrowhead's careers portal, where you'll find territory-specific postings. Tailoring your application to Arrowhead's therapeutic focus areas, particularly cardiometabolic and hepatology, significantly strengthens your submission.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Account Manager roles at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Arrowhead has sponsored candidates through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering pharmaceutical sales. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. EB-2 and EB-3 PERM sponsorship is a longer-term pathway typically initiated after you've established yourself in the role.
What qualifications does Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals expect for Sales Account Manager candidates?
Arrowhead typically looks for a bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacology, biochemistry, or a closely related field. Prior pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, familiarity with specialty therapeutics, and comfort engaging with physicians and clinical specialists are strong differentiators. For visa sponsorship purposes, a field-specific degree also supports the specialty occupation argument required for H-1B and employment-based Green Card petitions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Sales Account Manager at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization is already in place before you start, so there's no additional wait. A standard H-1B petition filed in April takes effect October 1 at the earliest. EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship typically spans one to three years from initiation, covering the labor certification, I-140 petition, and adjustment of status or consular processing stages.
