Align your credentials to channel sales standards
Fortinet's partnership roles require demonstrable experience with reseller, distributor, or MSSP ecosystems. Before applying, document specific partner revenue outcomes and certifications like Fortinet NSE or comparable vendor accreditations that signal fluency in their go-to-market model.
Target Fortinet's regional channel openings strategically
Fortinet structures its partnership org by geography and partner tier. Roles covering SLED, commercial, or global system integrator segments each have different hiring urgency, so filtering by vertical when browsing openings gives you a stronger signal of where sponsorship decisions move fastest.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Fortinet's open Partnership Development Manager roles
Fortinet posts across multiple channels and requisitions open and close quickly. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for sponsorship-eligible roles at Fortinet so you're not manually auditing every listing for visa eligibility before applying.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Fortinet sponsors multiple visa types for this function, including H-1B and TN for eligible nationalities. During late-stage interviews, ask the recruiter which pathway their immigration counsel typically recommends for Partnership Development Manager hires so there are no surprises at offer.
Understand how the H-1B cap affects your timeline
If you need an H-1B and aren't currently in a cap-exempt status, USCIS registration opens in March with an October 1 start date if selected. Plan your Fortinet job search so an offer can realistically align with that window, or confirm whether cap-exempt options apply to you.
Prepare for the LCA prevailing wage requirement upfront
Before Fortinet can file an H-1B petition, their legal team must secure a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL confirming the offered wage meets the prevailing rate for Partnership Development Manager roles in the relevant metro area. Knowing this step exists helps you set realistic offer-to-start timelines.

Does Fortinet sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, Fortinet sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Manager roles. Their immigration process is handled through outside counsel and typically includes the required Labor Condition Application filing with DOL before the H-1B petition is submitted to USCIS. If you're subject to the annual cap, confirm your timeline with the recruiter early in the process since registration windows are fixed.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Fortinet?
Applications go through Fortinet's careers portal, but roles open and close quickly. Migrate Mate is the recommended way to browse Partnership Development Manager openings at Fortinet that are filterable by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can prioritize the right requisitions without manually screening each listing. Tailoring your application to highlight channel ecosystem experience and partner revenue impact will strengthen your candidacy.
Which visa types does Fortinet commonly use for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Fortinet sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for this function and also supports TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories. F-1 OPT and CPT can cover early-career hires while they remain in student status, and Fortinet has also sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-tenured employees looking to pursue permanent residence.
What qualifications does Fortinet expect for a Partnership Development Manager?
Fortinet typically looks for experience managing relationships with value-added resellers, distributors, or managed security service providers in enterprise technology. Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions and channel sales motions is a practical advantage. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is standard for H-1B specialty occupation classification, and prior quota-carrying channel roles strengthen both the hiring and visa petition case.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after receiving an offer from Fortinet?
For H-1B transfers from an existing sponsor, USCIS portability rules allow you to start before the petition is approved, which shortens the practical wait significantly. For new H-1B filings subject to the cap, the process runs from March registration through an October 1 start date at the earliest. TN status for eligible nationals can often be obtained at a port of entry within weeks of receiving a finalized offer letter.
