Align your background with Google's partner tiers
Google structures its partnerships around product lines like Google Cloud, YouTube, and Android. Tailor your resume to reflect experience with technology ecosystems, API integrations, or channel sales that map to these verticals before applying.
Target roles under Google's cap-exempt filing windows
If you're transitioning from a cap-exempt institution like a university research lab, Google can file your H-1B outside the annual lottery. This path is often overlooked by candidates who assume the April cap season is their only option.
Confirm your visa category before accepting an offer
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for this role. Australian citizens and Singaporean nationals should clarify upfront which category applies to them, since timelines and interview requirements differ significantly between these three pathways.
Request premium processing during offer negotiation
USCIS premium processing reduces the H-1B adjudication window to 15 business days. At Google, this is negotiable during the offer stage rather than after signing. Raising it early avoids a delayed start date that can complicate team planning.
Document partner-facing revenue impact in your application
Google's recruiting team for Partnership Development Manager positions looks for quantifiable outcomes in partner programs. Frame your experience around pipeline growth, co-sell revenue, or partner enablement metrics rather than relationship management duties alone.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Partnership Development Manager openings at Google are listed across multiple product divisions. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that match your visa category, so you're applying where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than asking at the interview stage.

Find Partnership Development Manager at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Manager roles. Google participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery each April, but candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer can transfer their visa without waiting for the next lottery cycle. Google also sponsors H-1B1 and E-3 visas for eligible nationals.
Which visa types does Google commonly use for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Google sponsors H-1B visas for most nationalities, H-1B1 visas for Singaporean and Chilean nationals, and E-3 visas for Australian citizens. Each category has different filing requirements and timelines. E-3 and H-1B1 applications are typically processed at a U.S. consulate abroad, while H-1B transfers can often be filed domestically through USCIS.
What qualifications does Google expect for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Google typically looks for candidates with experience in technology partnerships, channel sales, or business development within software or cloud environments. Familiarity with Google's product ecosystem, including Google Cloud or Google Workspace, strengthens an application. A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field is generally required to support specialty occupation classification under H-1B or E-3 petitions.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Google?
Partnership Development Manager roles at Google are distributed across multiple product divisions, which makes them easy to miss if you're searching by title alone. Use Migrate Mate to browse open positions filtered by visa sponsorship type, then apply directly through Google's careers portal. Prepare for a multi-round interview process that includes a business case presentation focused on partner ecosystem strategy.
How do I plan my timeline around Google's visa sponsorship process?
If you need H-1B sponsorship and aren't currently in status, the April lottery filing deadline is the critical constraint. Google typically begins hiring conversations in the first quarter to meet that window. For E-3 and H-1B1 applicants, consular appointment availability at your nearest U.S. embassy is the main variable, with wait times ranging from two to eight weeks depending on location and time of year.
