Frame Your Experience Around Client Portfolios
WSP's partnership roles center on growing accounts in sectors like infrastructure and environmental consulting. Before applying, document specific client relationships you've built, revenue you've grown, and alliances you've managed so your resume speaks directly to their business development model.
Target WSP's Sector-Aligned Business Units
WSP organizes hiring around practice areas including transportation, water, and sustainability. Applying through a specific sector rather than a generic business development track increases your visibility to the hiring managers who control sponsorship decisions for partnership-focused roles.
Confirm Sponsorship Eligibility Before Your First Interview
WSP sponsors multiple visa types for this function, including H-1B and E-3. Ask your recruiter explicitly which visa pathways they support for the specific role and location during your initial screen, so you don't reach the offer stage with unresolved authorization questions.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Open Roles by Visa Type
Partnership Development Manager openings at WSP are distributed across regional offices with different sponsorship capacity. Use Migrate Mate to filter active listings by visa type and location, so you're only targeting positions where your specific authorization pathway is supported.
Understand How PERM Fits a Long-Term Role Here
WSP sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for established employees. If you're entering on an H-1B or E-3, ask HR during the offer stage whether your role is categorized as a position eligible for PERM labor certification, since consulting firms typically initiate this after one to two years of employment.
Prepare Your I-94 and Status Documents Before Onboarding
If you're transferring an existing H-1B to WSP, USCIS portability rules let you start once WSP files the transfer petition, not after approval. Have your current I-94, approval notices, and paystubs organized so WSP's immigration team can file without delays that push back your start date.

Find Partnership Development Manager at WSP JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WSP sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, WSP sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Manager roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying candidates, including cap-subject filings during the annual lottery window and cap-exempt transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. Confirm the sponsorship pathway for your specific role and location with your recruiter during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at WSP?
Applications go through WSP's careers portal, where roles are listed by practice area and location. You can also browse open Partnership Development Manager positions at WSP filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify which specific listings are actively sponsoring your visa category before you invest time in the application.
Which visa types does WSP commonly use for Partnership Development Manager roles?
WSP sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for Partnership Development Managers, along with TN status for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals. For longer-term employment, WSP also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates are considered for qualifying roles, though partnership-level positions typically expect more established professional experience.
What qualifications does WSP expect for a sponsored Partnership Development Manager?
WSP's Partnership Development Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing client accounts or strategic alliances in a professional services or engineering consulting environment. Candidates who can show sector-specific relationship management experience in WSP's core markets, including infrastructure, sustainability, or transportation, are better positioned for both the role and sponsorship consideration.
How do I think about timing if I need visa sponsorship to join WSP?
If you need a new H-1B, the cap lottery opens in March for an October 1 start, so targeting WSP roles in late 2025 or early 2026 aligns with that cycle. E-3 applicants can schedule a consular appointment in Australia without waiting for a lottery. H-1B transfers from a current employer are not lottery-dependent and can proceed year-round, typically with a 30 to 60 day processing window using standard service.
