Target technical and engineering disciplines first
Arup's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical roles across engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Focusing your application on these specialty occupation areas gives you the strongest footing for H-1B sponsorship consideration at the firm.
Understand that Arup sponsors both temporary and permanent pathways
Arup sponsors both H-1B visas and Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If long-term U.S. residency is your goal, ask recruiters directly about their track record of supporting employees through the permanent residency process.
Position your degree as directly relevant to the role
Arup hires for specialty occupations requiring specific technical degrees. Make sure your application clearly connects your academic background to the exact role, this is critical for H-1B eligibility and strengthens your case from the first screening call.
Engage with Arup's graduate and early-career programs
Arup is known for investing in long-term talent development. International candidates who enter through structured graduate programs often have stronger pathways to sponsorship, as the firm builds institutional familiarity before initiating visa filings.
Filter for verified sponsors before applying
Not every consulting firm sponsors visas consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, use it to confirm Arup's active status and browse open roles where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Ask about sponsorship policy early in the process
Arup operates across many service lines and geographies. Sponsorship decisions can vary by office location and project demand, so raise the question directly with the recruiter before investing significant time in the interview process.
