Align your degree with plant engineering roles
Ash Grove's Manufacturing positions typically require credentials in chemical, civil, or mechanical engineering. Make sure your transcripts and any foreign degree evaluations clearly reflect the field, not just the level, before you apply.
Target roles at specific plant locations
Ash Grove operates cement plants across multiple U.S. states. Sponsorship decisions often originate at the plant level, so research which facilities have active Manufacturing openings and direct your application to those sites specifically.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Manufacturing roles
Ash Grove posts Manufacturing roles across platforms inconsistently. Use Migrate Mate to surface active positions at Ash Grove that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're not wasting time on listings that don't apply to your situation.
Understand how TN works for engineering roles
If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN status covers engineers in fields like chemical and industrial engineering, which map well to Ash Grove's plant roles. USCIS and CBP both recognize these classifications, and TN doesn't require an employer petition filed months in advance.
Prepare for a DOL prevailing wage review on your offer
H-1B filings for Manufacturing roles require your employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing rate for the occupation and location. Review the DOL wage database for your specific plant's region before negotiating your offer.

Find Manufacturing at Ash Grove Cement Company JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Ash Grove Cement Company sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Ash Grove Cement Company has sponsored H-1B visas for Manufacturing positions. The company operates in the cement and building materials sector, where specialized engineering and process knowledge can support specialty occupation status under USCIS criteria. Your degree field and how closely it maps to the specific role will be the key factor in whether the petition holds up.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Ash Grove Cement Company?
You can find open Manufacturing roles at Ash Grove Cement Company through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility. Ash Grove typically posts positions at the plant level, so roles in operations, process engineering, and quality are your most likely targets. Tailor your application to the specific facility and role function, not a generic manufacturing resume.
Which visa types does Ash Grove Cement Company use for Manufacturing hires?
Ash Grove has sponsored H-1B visas and has also supported F-1 OPT and CPT candidates in Manufacturing roles, making it accessible for recent graduates in engineering programs. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering disciplines can also pursue TN status, which is a faster and administratively lighter path than H-1B for eligible roles.
What qualifications does Ash Grove Cement Company look for in Manufacturing candidates?
Most Manufacturing roles at Ash Grove require a bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, civil, or process engineering. Hands-on experience with plant operations, process control systems, or quality assurance in a heavy industry environment strengthens your profile considerably. Familiarity with cement production processes or broader chemicals and materials manufacturing is a practical differentiator over candidates from unrelated industries.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I'm on OPT and get an offer from Ash Grove?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer must file your H-1B petition by April 1 for an October 1 start, which means you need your offer finalized well before March. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you have a STEM extension, you may bridge the gap with a cap-gap provision. Confirm your I-20 dates with your Designated School Official as soon as you receive an offer.
