Align your resume to fab-specific roles
Micron's Manufacturing openings often specify process nodes, equipment platforms, or cleanroom experience. Tailor your resume to mirror the exact technical language in each posting so your background maps clearly to semiconductor fabrication environments.
Verify your credentials translate to U.S. standards
If your engineering degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation before you apply. Micron's Manufacturing roles typically require a bachelor's in engineering or a related field, and a formal equivalency evaluation removes any ambiguity during the H-1B specialty occupation assessment.
Target Micron sites with active fab operations
Micron's Manufacturing hiring concentrates around its fabrication facilities in Boise, Manassas, and its Singapore and Japan sites. Focusing your search on U.S. fab locations gives you the best shot at roles where sponsorship is a routine part of the hiring process.
Browse open Manufacturing roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by Manufacturing and Electronics and Hardware on Migrate Mate to surface Micron Technology postings that actively support H-1B and Green Card sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where the sponsorship pathway is already confirmed.
Understand the H-1B cap timeline before accepting an offer
H-1B registrations open in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive a Micron offer outside that window, ask your recruiter about cap-exempt alternatives or a delayed start date aligned to the next fiscal year cycle.

Find Manufacturing at Micron Technology JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Micron Technology sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Micron Technology sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing professionals. The company has a consistent pattern of filing H-1B petitions for roles in semiconductor fabrication, process engineering, and equipment operations. Sponsorship is a standard part of Micron's hiring process for qualified international candidates in Manufacturing, not an exception you need to negotiate from scratch.
Which visa types does Micron Technology use for Manufacturing positions?
Micron sponsors H-1B visas for most Manufacturing hires and also files H-1B1 petitions for eligible candidates from Chile and Singapore. For longer-term pathways, Micron supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. The right visa type depends on your nationality, education level, and the specific role's requirements.
What qualifications does Micron Technology expect for Manufacturing roles?
Most Manufacturing roles at Micron require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication, cleanroom protocols, or process equipment is highly valued. Roles at the senior level often expect familiarity with specific process nodes or metrology tools used in DRAM or NAND flash production.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Micron Technology?
You can find and apply to Manufacturing openings at Micron Technology directly through Micron's careers site or by browsing verified sponsorship-confirmed postings on Migrate Mate. On Migrate Mate, filter by the Manufacturing function and Electronics and Hardware industry to surface Micron roles where H-1B or Green Card sponsorship is part of the position. Tailor your application materials to the specific process technology or equipment mentioned in the job description.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Micron Manufacturing offer?
Timeline depends on visa type and your current status. H-1B petitions filed under regular processing take three to six months for USCIS adjudication, with an October 1 start date if you're subject to the cap. Premium processing reduces USCIS adjudication to about 15 business days. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship adds 12 to 24 months before the I-140 immigrant petition stage, not counting priority date wait times.
