Athena is seeking an innovative procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and vendor partnerships. The Procurement team is responsible for acquiring essential goods and services for athenahealth while managing the entire purchasing lifecycle. The team drives supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship oversight. They work collaboratively to achieve cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and compliance with corporate policies, ultimately contributing to the overall operational success of the organization.

- Develop and execute indirect category sourcing strategies based on comprehensive spend analysis.
- Analyze and translate spend data into actionable category plans that enhance ROI and bottom-line performance.
- Cultivate and maintain trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Negotiate vendor contracts to secure favorable terms while reducing third-party cost and mitigating risk.

The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum.
