Align your credentials with FAA requirements
Atlantic Aviation roles in flight operations and maintenance often require FAA-issued certificates or ratings. Confirm your foreign credentials are validated or transferable before applying, since USCIS specialty occupation reviews will reference the specific licensing standards DOL sets for aviation positions.
Target Atlantic's MRO and FBO openings
Atlantic Aviation operates fixed-base operations and maintenance facilities across the U.S. Positions tied to specific airport locations tend to have faster hiring cycles, and LCA filings with DOL are location-specific, so identifying your preferred station early gives you a cleaner application path.
Prioritize OPT roles before your cap-subject window
If you're on F-1 OPT, Atlantic Aviation has supported candidates in aviation through that authorization. File your H-1B registration through your employer before the March USCIS deadline, since aviation roles require continuity of operations that make timing lapses especially disruptive.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Atlantic Aviation openings
Aviation roles at Atlantic Aviation don't always appear on general job boards with sponsorship filters. Use Migrate Mate to find and track visa-sponsored aviation openings at Atlantic specifically, so you're not sifting through listings that won't support your work authorization.
Prepare for prevailing wage scrutiny in aviation
DOL prevailing wage determinations for aviation mechanics, technicians, and pilots are role- and location-specific. Ask your employer contact early which wage level they intend to file at, since a Level I filing for a senior avionics role is a common friction point that delays LCA certification.
Clarify Atlantic's PERM timeline for EB sponsorship
If Atlantic Aviation has indicated openness to Green Card sponsorship, confirm whether they initiate PERM concurrent with the H-1B or after a defined employment period. Aviation employers with unionized workforces face additional PERM posting requirements, which extend the overall timeline meaningfully.

Does Atlantic Aviation sponsor H-1B visas for Aviation roles?
Yes, Atlantic Aviation has sponsored H-1B visas for aviation positions. H-1B eligibility for aviation roles depends on the position qualifying as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which means the role must typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles like avionics engineering or aerospace systems analysis generally qualify, while some operational roles require careful framing in the petition.
How do I apply for Aviation jobs at Atlantic Aviation?
Search for open aviation positions through Atlantic Aviation's careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Atlantic Aviation roles that include visa sponsorship. Tailor your application to reflect any FAA certifications, relevant aircraft type experience, or maintenance ratings. Reaching out to a recruiter directly after applying is common in aviation hiring and can help clarify sponsorship eligibility early in the process.
Which visa types does Atlantic Aviation commonly use for Aviation hires?
Atlantic Aviation sponsors across several visa categories for aviation roles, including H-1B for specialty occupation positions, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying aviation occupations, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing aviation or aerospace programs. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways are also part of their sponsorship history.
What qualifications does Atlantic Aviation expect for Aviation roles?
Qualifications vary by role, but aviation positions at Atlantic typically require relevant FAA certifications, a degree in aerospace engineering, aviation management, or a closely related field, and hands-on experience with commercial aircraft systems or FBO operations. For specialty occupation H-1B filings, the degree field must directly relate to the job duties, so a strong alignment between your academic background and the specific role is critical.
How do I navigate the timeline between a job offer and visa approval at Atlantic Aviation?
Once Atlantic Aviation extends an offer, the employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before the H-1B petition can go to USCIS. Standard USCIS processing can take several months, though premium processing is available for a faster decision. If you're on OPT, your cap-gap protection may bridge the gap if your status and H-1B timing align. Clarify these milestones with HR before accepting the offer.
