Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Service Tech Jobs at Atlantic Aviation Jobs
Obtain FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification First
Atlantic Aviation's Service Tech roles consistently require FAA A&P certification. Having it before you apply removes a key hiring objection and signals you can work independently from day one, which matters in a safety-critical ground support environment.
Target Line Maintenance Openings at Busy FBO Locations
Atlantic Aviation operates fixed-base operator facilities at high-traffic airports. Locations with heavier flight operations tend to post Service Tech roles more frequently, so filtering your search by airport hub size improves your odds of finding an active opening.
Clarify OPT STEM Extension Eligibility Before Applying
Aviation maintenance roles can qualify under STEM OPT extension if your degree is in a qualifying engineering or technology field. Confirm this with your DSO before applying so you can communicate a 36-month work authorization runway to the recruiter upfront.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Atlantic Aviation Service Tech Openings
Searching for visa-sponsored technical roles across aviation employers takes time. Use Migrate Mate to filter directly for Atlantic Aviation Service Tech positions that include sponsorship, so you're applying to confirmed opportunities rather than guessing at each listing.
Align Your Resume to DOT Safety Compliance Language
Atlantic Aviation operates in a DOT-regulated environment. Frame your experience around compliance, inspection standards, and documentation accuracy rather than general mechanical skills. Hiring managers in ground services weight regulatory familiarity heavily when evaluating international candidates for sponsored roles.
Prepare for PERM Timing if Pursuing a Green Card Path
If Atlantic Aviation sponsors you through EB-2 or EB-3, the PERM labor certification process typically runs six months or longer before USCIS filing begins. Ask your recruiter early whether the role is designated for immigrant visa sponsorship so you can plan accordingly.

Does Atlantic Aviation sponsor H-1B visas for Service Techs?
Yes, Atlantic Aviation sponsors H-1B visas for Service Tech roles. To qualify, the position must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, which generally requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field. Aviation maintenance roles tied to engineering or avionics systems have the strongest fit. Confirm the specific role's requirements directly with the recruiter during the hiring process.
How do I apply for Service Tech jobs at Atlantic Aviation?
Applications go through Atlantic Aviation's careers portal, where Service Tech openings are listed by location. You can also find Atlantic Aviation Service Tech roles that include visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters listings specifically for candidates who need work authorization. Have your FAA A&P certificate, resume, and any visa documentation ready before you apply, as technical screenings move quickly.
Which visa types does Atlantic Aviation commonly use for Service Tech roles?
Atlantic Aviation sponsors across several visa categories for Service Tech positions, including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What qualifications does Atlantic Aviation expect for Service Tech candidates needing sponsorship?
Most Service Tech roles at Atlantic Aviation require FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification, hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, and familiarity with maintenance documentation standards. For visa sponsorship, your educational background typically needs to align with the technical scope of the role. Candidates with avionics, aerospace engineering, or aircraft systems coursework tend to meet USCIS's specialty occupation criteria most cleanly.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Service Tech roles at Atlantic Aviation?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization can be in place within a few months of graduation. H-1B sponsorship follows USCIS's annual lottery cycle, with an October 1 start date for cap-subject petitions. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically takes well over a year end to end. Discuss timing with Atlantic Aviation's HR team early so both sides can plan around your authorization window.
