Align Your Certifications to FAA Standards
Atlantic Aviation operates under FAA regulatory oversight, so an Airframe and Powerplant certificate carries real weight in your application. If your maintenance credentials are from outside the U.S., pursue FAA equivalency before submitting your resume.
Understand the TN Classification for Aviation Roles
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, TN status under the USMCA can apply to certain engineering and technical roles. Confirm with the hiring team whether your specific maintenance position qualifies before assuming H-1B sponsorship is the only path.

Find Maintenance at Atlantic Aviation JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Atlantic Aviation sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenances?
Yes, Atlantic Aviation sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Maintenance roles. Because H-1B status requires the position to meet the specialty occupation standard, your role will typically need to involve applied engineering or highly technical systems work. Roles requiring an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate combined with relevant bachelor's-level education in aviation technology or engineering are the most common fit.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at Atlantic Aviation?
You can find open Maintenance positions at Atlantic Aviation through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles that match your work authorization. Once you locate a relevant opening, apply directly through Atlantic Aviation's careers portal. Include your FAA certifications and clearly state your current visa status and any sponsorship needs in your application materials.
Which visa types does Atlantic Aviation commonly sponsor for Maintenance roles?
Atlantic Aviation sponsors multiple visa categories for Maintenance positions, including H-1B for specialty occupation roles, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates in aviation or engineering programs, TN status for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical roles, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Cards for candidates seeking permanent residence through employer-sponsored PERM labor certification.
What qualifications does Atlantic Aviation expect for sponsored Maintenance positions?
Most sponsored Maintenance roles at Atlantic Aviation require an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate alongside relevant hands-on experience in aircraft ground servicing, inspection, or avionics. For H-1B eligibility specifically, USCIS requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, which typically means a related bachelor's degree in aviation technology, aerospace engineering, or a closely related field is a baseline requirement.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing Green Card sponsorship through Atlantic Aviation?
Employer-sponsored Green Cards through the EB-2 or EB-3 category begin with PERM labor certification filed with DOL, a process that commonly takes one to two years. USCIS processing of the I-140 petition follows, and priority date wait times vary significantly depending on your country of birth. Starting this conversation with Atlantic Aviation's HR team early in your employment is the most effective way to avoid gaps in work authorization.
