Certify Your Trades Credentials Before Applying
Water and wastewater maintenance roles at Inframark often require state-issued operator licenses. Research the licensing requirements for the state where the position is based and get your credentials verified before you submit an application.
Target Inframark Openings in Contract Renewal Periods
Inframark wins and renews public utility contracts on a rolling cycle. Maintenance hiring typically spikes when new municipal contracts start. Watching for facility-specific openings tied to recently awarded contracts improves your odds of landing a role with sponsorship intent.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Inframark Maintenance Jobs
Maintenance openings with confirmed sponsorship history are easier to find when you can filter by employer and visa type. Migrate Mate lets you browse Inframark roles specifically tagged for employment-based sponsorship so you're not guessing which postings are viable.
Ask About H-2B Eligibility During the Offer Stage
If a permanent Green Card timeline is too long for your situation, ask your Inframark recruiter whether the role qualifies for H-2B sponsorship. H-2B covers temporary nonimmigrant workers in non-agricultural jobs and can bridge gaps while longer-term options are processed.
Document Hands-On Experience with Specific Systems
Inframark operates SCADA systems, pump stations, and treatment plant equipment for municipal clients. Your resume and any supporting documentation should identify the specific mechanical and electrical systems you've maintained, not just general trades experience, to satisfy PERM labor market requirements.

Find Maintenance at Inframark JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Inframark sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenances?
Inframark does not have a pattern of sponsoring H-1B visas for Maintenance roles. H-1B is designed for specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field, and most Maintenance positions are classified as skilled trades rather than specialty occupations. Inframark's sponsorship activity for this function is concentrated in employment-based Green Card pathways instead.
Which visa types does Inframark commonly use for Maintenance roles?
Inframark sponsors Maintenance workers primarily through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which lead to a permanent Green Card. For roles with temporary or seasonal workforce needs, H-2B nonimmigrant sponsorship is also used. Both paths require employer-initiated filings with USCIS and, for the Green Card routes, a prior PERM labor certification through the DOL.
What qualifications and experience does Inframark expect for Maintenance positions?
Inframark typically looks for candidates with hands-on experience in water or wastewater infrastructure, including pump maintenance, pipefitting, electrical systems, and SCADA operation. State-issued water or wastewater operator licenses are frequently required or preferred. Prior experience working within a public utility or municipal contract environment carries weight given the regulated nature of Inframark's government sector clients.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at Inframark?
You can apply directly through Inframark's careers page or browse their Maintenance openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Before applying, confirm the specific state licensing requirements for the facility location listed in the posting. Tailoring your application to highlight experience with the equipment types Inframark operates for municipal clients strengthens your candidacy.
How long does the sponsorship process typically take for a Maintenance role at Inframark?
For EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the full process runs from roughly two to four years or longer depending on your country of birth and priority date backlog. PERM labor certification alone takes six to twelve months with the DOL. H-2B sponsorship moves faster but is capped annually by USCIS and tied to the employer's specific seasonal or temporary workforce need.
