Certify your trades credentials for U.S. standards
Food and beverage manufacturers like Kerry evaluate maintenance candidates on OSHA compliance knowledge and equipment certifications. If your credentials are from outside the U.S., get a formal equivalency evaluation before applying so hiring managers can assess your qualifications without delay.
Target Kerry's high-volume production sites
Kerry operates large-scale manufacturing plants where maintenance teams are largest and turnover creates recurring openings. Focusing your search on facilities with active production lines increases your odds of finding a role where sponsorship is already part of the hiring workflow.
Understand which visa fits your maintenance background
H-1B works for roles requiring a relevant engineering degree, while TN is available if you're Canadian or Mexican with qualifying credentials. F-1 OPT is an option if you're completing a U.S. degree in a related technical field and want to start before full sponsorship.
Browse open roles on Migrate Mate before applying
Use Migrate Mate to filter Kerry's current Maintenance openings by visa type so you apply only to roles where your sponsorship category aligns with what Kerry is actively filing. This saves time and focuses your applications where they're most likely to move forward.
Ask about the LCA timeline during offer negotiations
For H-1B and E-3 sponsorship, Kerry's employer team must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your petition can proceed. Knowing where the LCA sits in their internal process helps you plan your start date and avoid gaps in work authorization.
Prepare documentation showing hands-on systems experience
Kerry's maintenance roles in food production require demonstrable experience with PLCs, HVAC, or processing equipment. Gather service records, employer letters, or training certificates that show direct systems work, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation evidence closely for maintenance classifications.

Find Maintenance at Kerry JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Kerry sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenances?
Yes, Kerry sponsors H-1B visas for Maintenance roles where the position requires a specialized engineering or technical degree. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field is a normal requirement for the position. Roles focused on general facilities upkeep may face more scrutiny than those tied to process engineering or automation systems.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at Kerry?
You can find Kerry's open Maintenance positions through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify openings that match your authorization category before applying. Once you've identified a relevant role, apply through Kerry's careers portal and be upfront about your visa status early in the process so the recruiting team can loop in their immigration support team without delays.
Which visa types does Kerry commonly use for Maintenance roles?
Kerry has sponsored Maintenance workers across H-1B, E-3, TN, EB-2, EB-3, and F-1 OPT and CPT categories. The right fit depends on your nationality, education, and the specific role. E-3 is available only to Australian citizens. TN covers Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical occupations. EB-2 and EB-3 are immigrant visa pathways for longer-term permanent residence sponsorship.
What qualifications does Kerry expect for sponsored Maintenance positions?
Most sponsored Maintenance roles at Kerry require a degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, or a closely related technical field, alongside hands-on experience with industrial equipment in a food or beverage manufacturing environment. Familiarity with GMP standards, preventive maintenance systems, and compliance requirements specific to food production is commonly expected. Certifications in PLC programming or HVAC systems strengthen your application significantly.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Kerry Maintenance role?
Timeline depends on visa type. For H-1B, standard USCIS processing runs several months, with premium processing available to reduce adjudication to roughly 15 business days. E-3 and TN processing at a U.S. consulate or port of entry can move faster. Kerry's team typically initiates the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before the USCIS petition, so factor in that step when planning your start date.
