Certify Your FAA Credentials Before Applying
An FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate is the baseline qualification Atlantic Aviation looks for in technician candidates. Get your A&P certification verified and documented before you submit, because gaps here will stall any sponsorship conversation before it starts.
Target Maintenance Base Locations Strategically
Atlantic Aviation operates fixed-base operations at airports across the country, and hiring demand for technicians is not uniform. Research which stations are actively posting roles and prioritize those locations, since active openings signal employer readiness to move through the sponsorship and onboarding process quickly.
Align Your OPT Timeline With Atlantic Aviation's Hiring Cycle
If you're on F-1 OPT, your 12-month authorization window is tight once you add onboarding time. Confirm your remaining OPT duration before you apply, and flag it clearly in your cover letter so the recruiter can assess whether an H-1B cap-season filing is a realistic next step.
Understand How PERM Affects EB-3 Timelines for Technicians
Atlantic Aviation sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for technician roles, but PERM labor certification requires DOL to confirm no qualified U.S. workers are available. This process can take a year or more, so raise it in your offer negotiation rather than waiting until after you start.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Open Technician Roles at Atlantic Aviation
Technician openings at Atlantic Aviation cycle through frequently and don't always stay posted long. Use Migrate Mate to filter for current openings at Atlantic Aviation that explicitly support visa sponsorship, so you're applying to live roles rather than chasing listings that have already closed.
Verify TN Eligibility If You Hold Canadian or Mexican Citizenship
TN status is an underused option for technicians at aviation companies. If your role meets the qualifying occupation list and you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN can be processed at the border or port of entry, bypassing USCIS filing timelines and the H-1B cap entirely.

Find Technician at Atlantic Aviation JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Atlantic Aviation sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Yes, Atlantic Aviation sponsors H-1B visas for Technician roles. Because H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, your application will be stronger when the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field. Atlantic Aviation has an established sponsorship track record in Transportation and Logistics, and H-1B is one of the primary pathways they use for skilled technicians.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Atlantic Aviation?
You can find open Technician positions at Atlantic Aviation through their careers page or by using Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship support before applying. Tailor your resume to highlight FAA certifications, specific aircraft experience, and any hands-on maintenance work in business or general aviation environments, since that experience maps directly to Atlantic Aviation's operations.
Which visa types does Atlantic Aviation commonly use for Technician roles?
Atlantic Aviation sponsors several visa categories for Technician positions, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, EB-2, and EB-3. For early-career candidates coming through aviation programs, F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points. Experienced technicians typically pursue H-1B or, for longer-term pathways, an EB-3 Green Card through PERM labor certification filed with the DOL.
What qualifications does Atlantic Aviation expect for sponsored Technician roles?
Atlantic Aviation typically looks for FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification as a baseline for technician roles. Beyond that, experience with business aviation or corporate aircraft maintenance is a strong differentiator. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, USCIS requires the position to meet specialty occupation standards, so roles that involve complex avionics or systems work tend to be the best fit for visa-sponsored technician positions.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Technician position at Atlantic Aviation?
The timeline depends on which visa pathway you're pursuing. H-1B standard processing with USCIS currently runs several months, and the cap-subject lottery means timing your application to the April filing window is critical. TN status for Canadian or Mexican citizens can be processed in days at a port of entry. Green Card pathways through EB-3 are longer, often 18 months or more once PERM labor certification with the DOL is included. Clarify the pathway early in the offer process.
