Verify Your ARRT Credentials Transfer Cleanly
Banner Health requires active ARRT CT certification for most imaging roles. If your credentials were earned outside the U.S., confirm equivalency through ARRT before applying so your application clears the clinical screening stage without delays.
Target Banner Facilities With Persistent CT Vacancies
Banner Health operates across Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, and several other states. Facilities in high-growth or underserved markets tend to keep CT Tech roles open longer, which signals stronger employer motivation to pursue visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open CT Tech Roles
Filtering for Banner Health CT Tech openings that explicitly support visa sponsorship saves significant time. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified listings and identify which Banner locations are actively hiring international candidates for imaging positions.
Ask Recruiters Directly About LCA Timing
Before accepting an offer, confirm that Banner Health's HR team has started the Labor Condition Application with DOL. LCA certification must precede any H-1B petition filing, and delays here can push your start date back by weeks.
Understand How Banner Handles Cap-Exempt H-1B Filings
Nonprofit hospital systems affiliated with qualifying research or teaching institutions may file H-1B petitions outside the annual USCIS cap. Ask whether the specific Banner facility you're joining qualifies, since cap-exempt status removes the lottery risk entirely.
Plan Your Green Card Timeline Around Banner's PERM Process
If your goal is permanent residency, confirm early whether Banner Health initiates PERM labor certification for CT Techs. EB-2 and EB-3 processing timelines differ significantly depending on your country of birth, so starting that conversation at the offer stage matters.

Find CT Tech at Banner Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Banner Health sponsor H-1B visas for CT Techs?
Yes, Banner Health sponsors H-1B visas for CT Tech roles. As a large nonprofit health system, some Banner facilities may qualify for cap-exempt H-1B filings through their academic or research affiliations, which means eligible candidates can avoid the annual USCIS lottery. Confirm cap-exempt status with the recruiting team for the specific facility you're applying to, since eligibility varies by location.
How do I apply for CT Tech jobs at Banner Health?
Applications go through Banner Health's careers portal, where CT Tech roles are listed by location and modality. You can also find Banner Health CT Tech openings that support visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters listings specifically for international candidates. Before submitting, make sure your ARRT CT certification is active and that your resume reflects the modalities and scanner platforms Banner facilities commonly use.
Which visa types does Banner Health typically use for CT Tech roles?
Banner Health primarily sponsors CT Techs through the H-1B nonimmigrant visa and supports permanent residency through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. CT Tech roles typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards given the degree and certification requirements. If you're already in the U.S. on a different status, Banner's HR team can advise on whether a status change to H-1B is feasible for your situation.
What qualifications does Banner Health expect for CT Tech candidates needing sponsorship?
Banner Health generally requires ARRT certification in Computed Tomography, a completed radiologic technology program, and hands-on experience with multi-slice CT systems. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must support the specialty occupation requirement under H-1B standards. Candidates with experience on platforms common in large health systems, such as Siemens or GE scanners, and prior cross-sectional imaging volume tend to move faster through the hiring process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for a CT Tech role at Banner Health?
From offer acceptance to an approved H-1B petition, the process generally runs three to six months under standard USCIS processing. USCIS premium processing can reduce the adjudication window to around 15 business days once the petition is filed, though DOL Labor Condition Application certification typically adds two to four weeks before filing. If Banner initiates PERM for a Green Card, that process runs separately and on a much longer timeline depending on your priority date.
