Tips for Finding CT Technologist Jobs at Banner Health
Confirm ARRT Certification Before Applying
Banner Health requires ARRT certification in Computed Tomography for CT Technologist roles. If your credentials were earned outside the U.S., get them evaluated by a NACES-approved agency before submitting any application to avoid delays at the screening stage.
Target Locations with Consistent Openings
Banner Health operates across Arizona, Colorado, and several other states. Prioritize facilities in Phoenix and Tucson metro areas, where imaging department hiring tends to be active year-round and sponsorship approvals for clinical roles have a documented track record.
Ask HR About PERM Timing During Interviews
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways, Banner Health must complete PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition with USCIS. Ask the recruiter early whether they initiate PERM concurrently with your H-1B or only after a set tenure period.
Prepare State Licensure Before Your Start Date
Every state Banner Health operates in requires a separate radiologic technologist license. Delays in state licensure can push back your start date and affect H-1B petition timing, so begin the application process as soon as you receive a written offer.
Search CT Technologist Roles Using Migrate Mate
Filter Banner Health CT Technologist openings by visa sponsorship type to identify which roles are actively sponsored. Migrate Mate surfaces sponsorship-verified listings so you're not wasting time on postings that won't support your visa category.
Understand Your H-1B Cap Exemption Options
Banner Health facilities affiliated with nonprofit research or teaching hospital networks may qualify as cap-exempt H-1B employers, meaning your petition could be filed outside the annual USCIS lottery window. Confirm the specific facility's cap status with HR before assuming you need to wait for an April filing cycle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Banner Health sponsor H-1B visas for CT Technologists?
Yes, Banner Health sponsors H-1B visas for CT Technologist roles. The process requires your employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submit Form I-129 to USCIS on your behalf. Because Banner Health operates multiple hospital campuses, some facilities may qualify for cap-exempt filing, which avoids the annual H-1B lottery entirely. Confirm the specific site's cap status with the recruiter.
How do I apply for CT Technologist jobs at Banner Health?
Apply directly through Banner Health's careers portal at careers.bannerhealth.com. Search for CT Technologist or Computed Tomography Technologist and filter by location. Upload your ARRT certification, resume, and any credential evaluation documents upfront. If you need visa sponsorship, flag that early in the application or recruiter conversation so it's factored into the hiring timeline from the start.
Which visa types does Banner Health commonly use for CT Technologist roles?
Banner Health most commonly sponsors H-1B visas for CT Technologists, which allows two- to three-year work authorization with extensions. For permanent residency, they use EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which require PERM labor certification through the DOL before USCIS filing. The right pathway depends on your qualifications, the specific role level, and how long you've been with the organization.
What qualifications does Banner Health expect for CT Technologist roles?
Banner Health typically requires ARRT certification in Radiography with a CT credential, BLS certification, and at least one year of CT clinical experience. Candidates with cross-training in other modalities like MRI or fluoroscopy are competitive. Foreign-educated applicants should have their academic credentials formally evaluated by a NACES-recognized agency before applying, as Banner Health's credentialing process validates educational equivalency independently.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a CT Technologist at Banner Health?
From offer acceptance to an approved H-1B, the timeline typically runs three to six months if Banner Health files with USCIS premium processing, which adjudicates within 15 business days. Standard processing runs longer. If you need a Green Card through PERM, add at least 12 to 18 months for labor certification and USCIS petition review before your priority date becomes current. Use Migrate Mate to track which Banner Health roles are actively open while you plan your timeline.
