Verify Your ARRT Certification Before Applying
Emory Healthcare requires ARRT certification in Computed Tomography for CT Technologist roles. Confirm your credential is current and transferable to Georgia before submitting applications, as an expired or unrecognized certification will stall any sponsorship conversation immediately.
Target Emory's High-Volume Imaging Departments
Emory University Hospital and Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital consistently post CT Technologist openings across inpatient and outpatient imaging. Applying to facilities with active radiology expansion gives you a stronger chance of reaching a hiring manager with sponsorship authority.
Ask Specifically About PERM Sponsorship Timelines
Emory sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Cards for clinical roles. During the offer stage, ask HR whether they initiate PERM labor certification concurrently with H-1B filing, as this affects your long-term status planning significantly.
Prepare Your Clinical Experience Documentation Early
Emory's credentialing process for CT Technologists involves verifying clinical hours and prior employment. Gather your work history, CT scan volume records, and any specialty training in cardiac or trauma imaging before your first interview so sponsorship paperwork moves without delays.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active CT Technologist Openings
Tracking which Emory facilities are actively hiring CT Technologists with sponsorship is time-consuming. Use Migrate Mate to filter current openings at Emory Healthcare by visa type so you apply only to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Understand Cap-Gap Protections If You're on OPT
If Emory files your H-1B petition while you're on F-1 OPT, cap-gap protection lets you keep working through September 30 of that year while USCIS adjudicates your case. Confirm your OPT end date with your DSO before accepting an offer so your employment authorization stays uninterrupted.

Find CT Technologist at Emory Healthcare JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Emory Healthcare sponsor H-1B visas for CT Technologists?
Yes, Emory Healthcare sponsors H-1B visas for CT Technologist roles. As a large academic health system, Emory has an established process for filing employer-sponsored petitions through USCIS. CT Technologists with ARRT certification and qualifying clinical experience are among the clinical roles Emory has historically moved through the H-1B process, including both initial cap-subject filings and extensions.
How do I apply for CT Technologist jobs at Emory Healthcare?
Applications go through Emory Healthcare's careers portal, where roles are listed by facility and department. You can also browse CT Technologist openings at Emory with visa sponsorship confirmed on Migrate Mate, which filters listings specifically for international candidates. Before applying, confirm your ARRT certification in CT is active, as Emory's credentialing team verifies this early in the hiring process.
Which visa types does Emory Healthcare commonly use for CT Technologist hires?
Emory Healthcare uses H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for clinical and imaging roles. For CT Technologists, H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant path, while EB-3 is frequently used for permanent residency sponsorship given that CT Technologist is a skilled worker classification under DOL guidelines.
What qualifications does Emory Healthcare expect from CT Technologist candidates?
Emory requires ARRT certification in Radiography with a CT post-primary credential, or ARRT certification directly in CT. Most postings also require Georgia state licensure or eligibility for it. Candidates with experience in cardiac CT, trauma protocols, or high-volume academic medical center environments tend to advance further. Prior experience in a Joint Commission-accredited facility strengthens your application for Emory's hospital-based imaging positions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if Emory Healthcare extends an offer?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap-subject filings require USCIS lottery selection in March with an October 1 start date, which means offer timing relative to the annual cap cycle matters. TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals can be obtained at the port of entry within days of an offer. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-3 typically takes one to three years depending on your country of birth and DOL processing backlogs.
