Credential Your ARRT Certification Before Applying
Banner Health requires active ARRT certification for Radiologic Technologist roles. Get your credentials verified and your state licensure current before you apply, as incomplete credentialing delays both the offer and any subsequent visa filing timeline.
Target Banner's High-Volume Imaging Markets
Banner Health concentrates its imaging operations in Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming. Focusing your applications on facilities in these states increases your chances of landing in a location where Banner's HR and legal teams have established sponsorship workflows for Radiologic Technologists.
Browse Open Radiologic Technologist Roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Banner Health's Radiologic Technologist openings by sponsorship type. This lets you identify which postings are realistically accessible given your visa status before you invest time in the full application.
Clarify Sponsorship Timing During Offer Negotiations
Banner Health handles visa sponsorship through its internal immigration team, but processing for H-1B petitions follows USCIS timelines. Confirm whether the role is cap-subject or cap-exempt and ask HR when they expect to initiate filing relative to your start date.
Understand the PERM Process for EB-2 and EB-3 Sponsorship
Banner Health sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for qualifying Radiologic Technologists. PERM labor certification through the DOL is typically the first step and can take 12 to 18 months, so ask about eligibility early in your employment, not after several years.
Prepare Modality-Specific Experience Documentation
Banner Health imaging departments frequently hire for specific modalities like MRI, CT, and fluoroscopy. Document your clinical hours by modality in your resume and gather reference letters from supervising radiologists, as these directly influence both hiring decisions and specialty occupation arguments for your H-1B petition.

Find Radiologic Technologist at Banner Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Banner Health sponsor H-1B visas for Radiologic Technologists?
Yes, Banner Health sponsors H-1B visas for Radiologic Technologist roles. Because Banner Health is a nonprofit hospital system, many of its facilities qualify as cap-exempt employers under USCIS rules, meaning petitions can be filed at any time of year rather than being subject to the annual H-1B lottery. Confirm cap-exempt status for the specific facility with HR during your offer process.
How do I apply for Radiologic Technologist jobs at Banner Health?
Applications go through Banner Health's careers portal, where you can filter by job category and location. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse Banner Health's Radiologic Technologist openings filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you identify roles that match your current immigration status before applying. Have your ARRT certification and state licensure details ready when you submit.
Which visa types does Banner Health commonly use for Radiologic Technologists?
Banner Health most commonly uses the H-1B visa for temporary work authorization and supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for Radiologic Technologists pursuing permanent residence. The H-1B is the standard starting point for most international hires. Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification typically becomes available after you've been employed for a qualifying period.
What qualifications does Banner Health expect for Radiologic Technologist roles?
Banner Health requires active ARRT certification in Radiography at minimum, plus licensure in the state where the facility operates. Clinical experience in specific modalities, such as CT, MRI, or fluoroscopy, is frequently listed as preferred or required depending on the department. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must be in radiologic technology or a closely related field to support a specialty occupation determination.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Banner Health Radiologic Technologist role?
For H-1B petitions at cap-exempt Banner Health facilities, USCIS standard processing runs approximately three to five months, with premium processing available to reduce that to 15 business days. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a longer commitment, often 18 to 36 months from the start of the DOL labor certification process through final approval, depending on your country of birth and visa category.
