Confirm ARRT Certification Before Applying
WellSpan Health requires ARRT certification for Radiologic Technologist roles, and many visa filings hinge on verifying this credential. Have your ARRT card, state license, and official transcripts ready before submitting any application to avoid delays in the sponsorship review.
Target Openings Across WellSpan's Regional Sites
WellSpan operates multiple hospitals and outpatient imaging centers across Pennsylvania and Maryland. Roles at smaller or newer sites often move faster through the hiring funnel, so broadening your search beyond flagship locations improves your chances of reaching the sponsorship conversation sooner.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Roles
Search Radiologic Technologist openings at WellSpan Health directly on Migrate Mate to filter for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship. This saves time you'd otherwise spend contacting HR teams to confirm whether sponsorship is available for a specific posting.
Understand How TN Status Works for This Role
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, TN status covers medical technologists and can support Radiologic Technologist roles when the job duties align. Bring a detailed offer letter and your ARRT credential documentation when entering at a port of entry, as USCIS adjudicators assess scope of practice carefully.
Ask HR About PERM Timeline During the Offer Stage
WellSpan sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but PERM labor certification can take a year or more before an I-140 is filed. Ask the recruiting team upfront whether the specific role is designated as a shortage occupation, which can affect whether supervised recruitment is required by DOL.
Align OPT or CPT End Dates with WellSpan's Onboarding Cycle
WellSpan's credentialing and onboarding process for clinical roles typically runs six to eight weeks after an offer is accepted. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your employment authorization end date against that timeline so there's no gap before your first scheduled shift.

Find Radiologic Technologist at WellSpan Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WellSpan Health sponsor H-1B visas for Radiologic Technologists?
Yes, WellSpan Health sponsors H-1B visas for Radiologic Technologist roles. Because the H-1B requires a specialty occupation classification, the offer letter must specify that a bachelor's degree or higher in radiologic technology or a closely related field is a requirement of the position. WellSpan's HR and immigration teams handle the I-129 petition filing once an offer is confirmed.
How do I apply for Radiologic Technologist jobs at WellSpan Health?
Applications go through WellSpan Health's careers portal at wellspan.org. Search by job title and filter for imaging or radiology departments. You can also browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces WellSpan Radiologic Technologist roles that have confirmed visa sponsorship so you're not applying blind and waiting to hear back about immigration support.
Which visa types does WellSpan Health commonly use for Radiologic Technologist roles?
WellSpan sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Radiologic Technologist positions. TN is frequently used for Canadian and Mexican nationals given the faster processing. F-1 OPT and CPT cover recent graduates in clinical training, while EB-3 is the most common permanent residence pathway for allied health workers at regional health systems like WellSpan.
What qualifications does WellSpan Health expect for Radiologic Technologist candidates seeking visa sponsorship?
WellSpan expects ARRT certification in radiography as a baseline requirement, along with state licensure in Pennsylvania or Maryland depending on the site. For visa sponsorship purposes, a formal degree in radiologic technology strengthens the specialty occupation classification. Candidates with additional modality credentials in CT, MRI, or fluoroscopy are more competitive, particularly for roles at WellSpan's larger imaging centers.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Radiologic Technologist at WellSpan Health?
Timeline depends on the visa type. TN status for eligible nationals can be obtained at a port of entry on the same day as travel. H-1B standard processing through USCIS runs three to five months, with premium processing available to reduce that to 15 business days. Green Card sponsorship through PERM and EB-3 typically takes two or more years from start to approval, so it's best to start that conversation early in your employment at WellSpan.
