Tips for Finding CT Tech Jobs at WellSpan Health
Verify your ARRT credentials transfer cleanly
WellSpan Health expects CT Techs to hold active ARRT certification in Computed Tomography before or shortly after hire. Confirm your credential equivalency through ARRT before applying so your application isn't delayed at the offer stage.
Target WellSpan's high-volume CT locations
WellSpan operates imaging departments across multiple Pennsylvania hospitals and outpatient centers. Applying to facilities with posted CT Tech openings, rather than submitting a general interest application, significantly increases your chances of reaching a hiring manager with sponsorship authority.
Ask about TN status if you hold Canadian credentials
CT Technologist roles can qualify under the TN visa category for Canadian citizens. If you're Canadian and already working in the U.S. or ready to enter, clarify with WellSpan's HR team whether TN is a supported pathway before pursuing H-1B petition filing.
Understand the PERM timeline for permanent residency
If WellSpan sponsors you for an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, DOL's PERM labor certification process typically adds six to twelve months before the I-140 petition is filed. Factor this into your timeline if your H-1B status is approaching its six-year limit.
Use Migrate Mate to surface CT Tech openings at WellSpan
WellSpan posts CT Tech roles across its network on an ongoing basis. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for WellSpan Health CT Tech jobs that list visa sponsorship, so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is confirmed.
Align your OPT start date with WellSpan's hiring cycle
WellSpan hires CT Techs year-round, but onboarding for clinical roles can take four to eight weeks after offer acceptance. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your USCIS-authorized work start date before accepting an offer to avoid a gap between authorization and your first day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does WellSpan Health sponsor H-1B visas for CT Techs?
Yes, WellSpan Health has a demonstrated history of sponsoring H-1B visas for CT Tech roles. As a large regional health system, WellSpan works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualified candidates. You should confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter when an offer is extended, as sponsorship is role and location dependent.
How do I apply for CT Tech jobs at WellSpan Health?
Applications for CT Tech roles at WellSpan Health are submitted through their careers portal at wellspan.org. Search by job title and location, then apply directly to open requisitions. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse WellSpan CT Tech openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which saves time identifying the right postings before you apply.
Which visa types does WellSpan Health commonly use for CT Tech roles?
WellSpan supports several visa categories for CT Tech positions, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN visa for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1 visa for exchange visitors in clinical training programs, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing imaging or radiologic technology programs. For permanent residency, WellSpan has also sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for imaging staff through DOL's PERM process.
What qualifications does WellSpan Health expect from CT Tech candidates?
WellSpan Health typically requires ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography, along with current Pennsylvania state licensure as a radiologic technologist. Experience operating multi-slice CT scanners and familiarity with contrast administration protocols are standard expectations. Candidates coming from outside the U.S. should have their credentials evaluated for equivalency before applying, as ARRT sets the standard for U.S. CT practice.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a CT Tech position at WellSpan Health?
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS standard processing runs three to six months after the employer files, though premium processing can reduce this to around fifteen business days. If you're starting on F-1 OPT, your work authorization is already active and the H-1B petition can be filed before your OPT expires. For Green Card sponsorship via EB-3, the full PERM and I-140 process typically adds one to two years before priority date movement becomes the limiting factor.
