Verify Your Credentials Match Pennsylvania Requirements
Clinical Assistant roles at WellSpan Health often require state-specific certifications like a CNA or phlebotomy credential. Confirm your credentials are recognized in Pennsylvania before applying, since credential gaps can delay or complicate any sponsorship filing.
Target WellSpan's Ambulatory and Outpatient Postings
WellSpan Health fills Clinical Assistant roles heavily across outpatient and ambulatory care sites. Focusing your search on those settings rather than inpatient-only postings gives you more open positions and a faster path to an offer conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter WellSpan Sponsorship Listings
Search Clinical Assistant openings filtered specifically to WellSpan Health on Migrate Mate. It surfaces roles where sponsorship has been used historically, so you're spending time on applications that can actually support your visa status.
Document Direct Patient Care Experience Specifically
WellSpan's Clinical Assistant postings consistently emphasize hands-on patient care experience over administrative background. When building your application materials, quantify clinical exposure in hours or patient volumes to meet the practical expectations hiring managers use.

Does WellSpan Health sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Assistants?
Yes, WellSpan Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Clinical Assistants. Because this is a nonimmigrant work visa tied to a specific employer, WellSpan must file the petition on your behalf after extending an offer. Confirm sponsorship intent with the HR or talent acquisition team early in the process, since not every individual posting will explicitly state it upfront.
How do I apply for Clinical Assistant jobs at WellSpan Health?
Applications go through WellSpan Health's careers portal on their official website. You can also browse open Clinical Assistant positions at WellSpan filtered for visa sponsorship directly on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify roles where international candidates have been hired before. Tailor your application to emphasize direct patient care experience, as that is what WellSpan's hiring teams prioritize for this role.
Which visa types does WellSpan Health commonly use for Clinical Assistant roles?
WellSpan Health sponsors across several visa categories for Clinical Assistant roles, including H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT. TN visas can be a faster path for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials. J-1 is common for candidates in training or exchange programs. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current immigration status.
What qualifications does WellSpan Health expect for Clinical Assistant positions?
Most Clinical Assistant postings at WellSpan Health require a high school diploma or GED, relevant clinical certification such as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant credential, and direct patient care experience. Some roles within specialized departments may expect additional training or familiarity with electronic health records systems. Pennsylvania-specific certification requirements apply and must be satisfied before your start date.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Clinical Assistant offer at WellSpan Health?
After an offer is extended, WellSpan Health's HR team initiates the sponsorship filing with USCIS. For H-1B transfers, work can begin once USCIS receives the petition if you're already in valid H-1B status. For new H-1B petitions subject to the annual cap, the October 1 start date applies. If you're on OPT, the cap-gap rule may bridge your status, but the timing depends on when your current authorization expires relative to the petition receipt date.
