Verify your ARRT credentials transfer correctly
WellSpan Health requires ARRT certification for MRI Technologist roles. If you trained outside the U.S., confirm your credential evaluation aligns with ARRT eligibility requirements before applying, since gaps here stall offers before sponsorship conversations begin.
Target WellSpan's outpatient imaging openings
WellSpan Health runs multiple outpatient imaging centers across York, Lancaster, and surrounding Pennsylvania counties. These sites post MRI openings separately from hospital campuses, so search both to find roles most likely to have staffing urgency and sponsorship flexibility.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Healthcare systems sometimes separate HR screening from immigration decisions. During your WellSpan interview, ask directly whether the hiring manager has sponsored imaging staff before, not just whether the organization sponsors visas generally.
Use Migrate Mate to filter active MRI openings
Not all WellSpan MRI Technologist postings explicitly advertise visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface and filter roles at WellSpan Health that align with your visa type, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Align your F-1 OPT start date with WellSpan's onboarding cycle
WellSpan Health's clinical onboarding includes background checks, health clearances, and department orientation, which can take four to six weeks. If you're on F-1 OPT, request your EAD well in advance so your work authorization is active before your STEM OPT or standard OPT window closes.

Find MRI Technologist at WellSpan Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does WellSpan Health sponsor H-1B visas for MRI Technologists?
Yes, WellSpan Health has sponsored H-1B visas for MRI Technologists. Because MRI Technologist roles require specialized education and ARRT certification, they generally qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards. Your employer would file the H-1B petition on your behalf, and timing depends on whether you need cap-subject selection or qualify for a cap-exempt pathway.
How do I apply for MRI Technologist jobs at WellSpan Health?
Applications go through WellSpan Health's careers portal, where MRI Technologist openings are listed by facility and department. You can also browse and filter sponsorship-confirmed openings through Migrate Mate before applying directly. Make sure your application reflects current ARRT MRI certification and Pennsylvania licensure, since both are typically required before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does WellSpan Health commonly use for MRI Technologist roles?
WellSpan Health has sponsored a range of visa types for imaging professionals, including H-1B, TN, J-1, F-1 OPT, and Green Card pathways under EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose MRI role fits DOL's approved occupation list. J-1 is typically used for clinical training programs. The right visa depends on your nationality, education, and career stage.
What qualifications does WellSpan Health expect for MRI Technologist roles?
WellSpan Health generally requires ARRT certification in MRI, a completed accredited radiologic technology program, and an active Pennsylvania radiographer license. Some postings specify experience with particular scanner types or patient populations. If your degree is from outside the U.S., a credential evaluation confirming equivalency to a U.S. associate's or bachelor's degree strengthens your application before ARRT review.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for MRI Technologists at WellSpan Health?
From offer to start date, the timeline depends heavily on visa type. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow USCIS's annual lottery cycle, with an October 1 earliest start. TN and H-1B cap-exempt cases can move faster, sometimes within two to three months. Green Card cases via PERM typically run eighteen months or more. WellSpan's internal onboarding adds four to six weeks regardless of visa type.
