Credential Your Medical Physics Certification Early
Banner Health physics roles in radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging typically require ABR or ABMP board certification. Confirming your credentials meet state licensure requirements before applying avoids delays once a hiring manager is ready to move.
Target Radiation Oncology and Imaging Openings Specifically
Banner Health's physics hiring concentrates in clinical departments like radiation oncology and nuclear medicine rather than research labs. Filtering your search to these units positions you where sponsorship-supported hiring is most consistently active.
Find Banner Health Physics Roles Through Migrate Mate
Browsing open physics positions at Banner Health is faster when you can filter by visa sponsorship directly. Migrate Mate surfaces Banner Health listings alongside verified sponsorship data, so you're not guessing which postings are open to international candidates.
Confirm LCA Wage Compliance With Your Offered Title
Banner Health must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition moves forward. The prevailing wage is tied to your specific job title and the Arizona metropolitan area, so mismatches between your role and the LCA can stall or restart the filing.
Request Premium Processing If Your Start Date Is Fixed
Clinical physics positions often have credentialing and onboarding deadlines tied to department schedules. USCIS premium processing adjudicates H-1B petitions within 15 business days and is worth requesting if your contract start date is firm.
Prepare a Teaching Hospital Portfolio for Interviews
Many Banner Health facilities have academic affiliations, so demonstrating experience with resident training, protocol development, or quality assurance programs strengthens your application beyond a standard clinical physics CV.

Find Physics at Banner Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Banner Health sponsor H-1B visas for Physicists?
Yes, Banner Health sponsors H-1B visas for qualified physics candidates. The process involves Banner Health filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and then submitting an H-1B petition to USCIS on your behalf. Clinical physics roles, particularly in radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging, are among the positions where this pathway is used.
How do I apply for Physics jobs at Banner Health?
Apply directly through Banner Health's careers portal or find open positions with confirmed sponsorship availability through Migrate Mate. Tailor your application to the specific department, whether that's radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, or medical imaging physics. Highlight ABR or ABMP board certification and any experience with clinical quality assurance programs relevant to Banner Health's patient care environment.
Which visa types does Banner Health use for Physics roles?
Banner Health uses H-1B visas for temporary work authorization and sponsors employment-based Green Card pathways, including EB-2 and EB-3 categories, for longer-term immigration. Physics roles requiring a master's degree or doctoral qualification often align with EB-2 eligibility. The specific pathway depends on your credentials, the position level, and Banner Health's internal immigration process.
What qualifications does Banner Health expect for Physics positions?
Most clinical physics roles at Banner Health require a master's degree or PhD in medical physics or a closely related field, along with ABR or ABMP board certification or active candidacy. Hands-on experience with linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, or imaging equipment is typically expected. Roles in radiation oncology may also require state licensure depending on the facility location.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Banner Health Physics role?
From offer acceptance to H-1B approval, the process generally takes three to six months under standard USCIS processing, assuming the LCA is certified by the DOL within the first seven to ten business days. If your start date is time-sensitive, Banner Health can request USCIS premium processing to receive a decision within 15 business days of petition receipt.
