Verify your ARRT certification before applying
Trinity Health requires ARRT registration for CT Tech roles. Confirm your CT credential is current and unrestricted before submitting applications, because hiring managers screen for this before moving candidates to the sponsorship conversation.
Target large Trinity Health imaging hubs
Trinity operates major regional medical centers across Michigan, Iowa, and California. Facilities with high-volume trauma and cardiac imaging departments have more consistent CT Tech hiring cycles and are more likely to initiate sponsorship for qualified candidates.
Understand which visa paths apply to your situation
Trinity Health has sponsored H-1B, TN, J-1, and green card pathways for clinical imaging roles. TN visas apply only to Canadian and Mexican nationals. F-1 OPT is time-sensitive, so align your application timeline with your authorization window.
Prepare your credential evaluation early
If your radiologic technology degree is from outside the United States, get a NACES-approved evaluation completed before interviewing. Trinity Health and ARRT both require proof of educational equivalency, and delays in this step are the most common reason sponsorship timelines slip.
Ask directly about the PERM timeline during offers
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, PERM labor certification is filed with the DOL before USCIS petition filing. Ask the hiring team at what point in the process they initiate PERM, so you can plan around the multi-month processing window.
Use Migrate Mate to find open CT Tech roles
Trinity Health posts CT Tech openings across dozens of facilities at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Trinity Health CT Tech positions with visa sponsorship, so you are applying to active roles rather than outdated listings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor H-1B visas for CT Techs?
Yes, Trinity Health sponsors H-1B visas for CT Tech roles. CT technology qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines because the position requires at minimum a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, combined with ARRT certification. Sponsorship is typically initiated after a formal offer is extended and credentials are verified.
How do I apply for CT Tech jobs at Trinity Health?
Search for open CT Tech positions on Trinity Health's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Trinity Health roles that include visa sponsorship. When applying, confirm your ARRT CT credential is current and note your work authorization status clearly. Trinity Health screens for ARRT registration early in the process, so including it upfront avoids delays.
Which visa types does Trinity Health commonly use for CT Tech hires?
Trinity Health has sponsored H-1B visas for longer-term CT Tech hires and uses TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying radiologic roles. J-1 visa exchange visitor status is used for clinical training placements. F-1 OPT and CPT are available for students completing imaging programs, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship is available for candidates pursuing permanent residence.
What qualifications does Trinity Health expect for CT Tech roles?
Trinity Health expects candidates to hold ARRT registration with an active CT credential and a degree in radiologic technology or a closely related field. Most postings require at least one year of clinical CT experience, with higher-acuity facilities in trauma or cardiac imaging preferring two or more years. BLS certification is required before the start date at all Trinity facilities.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for CT Techs at Trinity Health?
From offer acceptance to starting work, the timeline depends heavily on your visa type. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow USCIS's October 1 start date, so timing your offer to the filing window in March matters. TN status can be obtained at the border in a single day for Canadian nationals. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-3 typically adds 12 to 24 months beyond the H-1B approval before the immigrant petition stage begins.
