Get Your Nursing Credentials Verified Early
Trinity Health's credentialing process requires CGFNS or ISEEK verification for internationally trained nurses before onboarding begins. Start the evaluation process months ahead so credential delays don't stall your visa filing or push back your start date.
Target Facilities With Persistent Travel Nurse Openings
Trinity Health posts Travel Nurse RN roles across dozens of regional systems, not just flagship hospitals. Facilities with recurring openings, particularly in rural or underserved markets, are more likely to move quickly on sponsorship rather than waiting for domestic candidates.
Understand Which Visa Fits Your Nursing Situation
Travel Nurse RN roles at Trinity Health can be filled under H-1B, TN, J-1, or Green Card pathways depending on your nationality, degree, and timeline. J-1 is common for new international nurses but carries a two-year home residency requirement that affects long-term U.S. plans.
Clarify the Staffing Agency Versus Direct Hire Structure
Many Trinity Health travel nurse positions are co-managed with staffing agencies, which affects who files your visa petition. Confirm before accepting an offer whether the agency or Trinity Health entity is the petitioning employer, since this determines your USCIS filing timeline and portability rights.
Track Your H-1B Cap Eligibility Through OPT or Prior Status
If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you may already be cap-exempt or positioned for cap-subject H-1B filing. Confirm with Trinity Health's immigration team which USCIS registration cycle applies to your situation before your OPT expiration closes the window.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Trinity Health Openings by Visa Type
Browsing open Travel Nurse RN roles across a system this large is time-consuming. Use Migrate Mate to filter Trinity Health listings by the visa categories they sponsor, so you're applying to positions where your immigration profile is already a fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Travel Nurse RNs?
Yes, Trinity Health sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Travel Nurse RN roles. Registered Nursing meets the specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field. Whether the petition is filed by Trinity Health directly or through a staffing partner depends on how the position is structured, so clarify the employer of record before accepting an offer.
How do I apply for Travel Nurse RN jobs at Trinity Health?
Applications go through Trinity Health's career portal or through affiliated staffing agencies that manage their travel nurse pipeline. You can also browse open Travel Nurse RN roles filtered by visa sponsorship availability using Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions at Trinity Health where international candidates are actively considered. Be prepared to provide licensure details, credential verification, and your current immigration status early in the process.
Which visa types does Trinity Health commonly use for Travel Nurse RNs?
Trinity Health has supported Travel Nurse RNs through H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, TN visa, J-1 visa, and F-1 OPT or CPT pathways. J-1 visa is frequently used for internationally educated nurses entering the U.S. for the first time, while EB-3 is the most common Green Card route for nursing given the category's nurse-friendly PERM history. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose nursing credentials meet DOL classification requirements.
What qualifications does Trinity Health expect for sponsored Travel Nurse RN roles?
Trinity Health generally requires an active RN license in the state of assignment, at least one to two years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty, and a BSN or equivalent degree recognized under CGFNS standards for internationally trained nurses. Specialty units such as ICU, med-surg, and telemetry are frequently in demand. NCLEX passage and English proficiency documentation are standard requirements for all internationally educated applicants.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Travel Nurse RN role at Trinity Health?
Timeline depends on the visa category. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow the USCIS lottery cycle with a typical October 1 start date, making early planning essential. EB-3 sponsorship through PERM can take 12 to 24 months or longer before a Green Card is issued. J-1 placements move faster, often within a few months, but require a sponsor organization and come with post-program return requirements. Factor credential verification time into any estimate.
