Verify your NCCPA certification before applying
Trinity Health requires PA-C credentials for clinical roles. Confirm your NCCPA certification and state licensure are active before submitting applications, since credentialing delays can push back your start date and complicate visa filing timelines.
Target Trinity Health's ambulatory and specialty divisions
Trinity Health staffs PAs across urgent care, cardiology, orthopedics, and surgical specialties. Filtering your search by clinical department rather than location broadens your options and surfaces openings where PA shortages make sponsorship conversations more straightforward.
Browse open Physician Assistant roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Trinity Health's current Physician Assistant openings by visa type and location. This saves time by surfacing only the roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring framework.
Ask about LCA timing during the offer stage
For H-1B transfers or new filings, Trinity Health's HR team must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your petition. Asking about this step early prevents gaps between your offer acceptance and authorization to work.
Understand how TN status applies to your background
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN classification covers Physician Assistants and can be obtained at the border or port of entry without a lengthy USCIS petition process. Confirm your PA-C credential documentation meets CBP requirements before travel.
Align your J-1 waiver timeline with Trinity Health's recruitment cycle
Trinity Health operates facilities in Health Professional Shortage Areas, which qualify for Conrad 30 J-1 waivers. If you're completing a J-1 training program, starting waiver discussions at least twelve months before your program end date prevents an authorization gap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Physician Assistants?
Yes, Trinity Health sponsors H-1B visas for Physician Assistant roles. As a large health system operating across multiple states, Trinity Health has established immigration processes for clinical hires. H-1B sponsorship typically applies to full-time PA positions, and the employer handles the Labor Condition Application with the DOL and the I-129 petition with USCIS on your behalf.
How do I apply for Physician Assistant jobs at Trinity Health?
You can browse and apply for Physician Assistant positions through Trinity Health's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship eligibility. Applications typically require your resume, active PA-C certification, and state licensure documentation. Trinity Health's hiring process for clinical roles usually includes a phone screen, panel interview, and credentialing review before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does Trinity Health commonly use for Physician Assistant hires?
Trinity Health sponsors several visa categories for Physician Assistant roles, including H-1B, TN visa, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates in PA programs may also be considered. The most appropriate visa type depends on your citizenship, training background, and whether you're transferring status or entering from abroad.
What qualifications does Trinity Health expect for sponsored Physician Assistant roles?
Trinity Health requires PA-C certification from the NCCPA and an active state license for any clinical PA position. A master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program is standard. For sponsored roles, your degree and credentials must support the specialty occupation classification USCIS applies to H-1B petitions, so a direct connection between your education and the specific clinical role is essential.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Physician Assistant at Trinity Health?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B transfers for cap-exempt healthcare employers like Trinity Health can be filed year-round and processed in two to six months with regular processing, or two to three weeks with USCIS premium processing. TN status for Canadian or Mexican citizens can be obtained same-day at a port of entry. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically runs one to three years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
