Confirm Your NCCPA Certification Before Applying
Texas Health Resources requires active NCCPA certification for all PA roles. Having this credential verified and current before you apply removes a common credentialing delay that can stall both the offer and the visa filing timeline.
Target Roles Across Multiple Service Lines
Texas Health Resources operates hospitals, urgent care, and specialty clinics across the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. PA openings appear across cardiology, orthopedics, and primary care, so broadening your search beyond a single department increases your chances of landing a sponsoring offer.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified PA Openings
Finding PA roles that actively include visa sponsorship is harder than it looks on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse Texas Health Resources openings that are flagged for H-1B or employment-based sponsorship, saving you time filtering dead ends.
Ask HR About LCA Filing Timing at Offer Stage
Once you have an offer, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your H-1B petition. Ask the HR or immigration team directly when they plan to initiate the LCA so you can track the process and plan your start date.
Prepare State Licensure Documentation Early
Texas requires PA licensure through the Texas Physician Assistant Board before you can practice. Delays in obtaining your Texas PA license can push back your start date and complicate H-1B petition timing, so start the licensure application as soon as your offer is confirmed.
Understand How EB-2 and EB-3 Fit Your Green Card Path
Texas Health Resources has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for clinical staff. PA roles typically fall under EB-3, which requires PERM labor certification through the DOL. Confirming which category your role qualifies for early helps you set realistic permanent residency timelines.

Does Texas Health Resources sponsor H-1B visas for Physician Assistants?
Yes, Texas Health Resources sponsors H-1B visas for Physician Assistant roles. The process involves your employer filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, followed by an H-1B petition with USCIS. Because PA positions qualify as specialty occupations requiring a specific degree, they meet the foundational H-1B eligibility criteria. Confirm sponsorship availability directly with the hiring team during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Physician Assistant jobs at Texas Health Resources?
You can search and apply for Physician Assistant openings directly through the Texas Health Resources careers portal. For roles that include visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate aggregates and flags those positions, making it easier to identify which openings are open to international candidates before you invest time in the application process.
Which visa types does Texas Health Resources use to sponsor Physician Assistants?
Texas Health Resources sponsors both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories for PA hires. On the nonimmigrant side, the H-1B is the primary pathway for specialty occupation clinical roles. For permanent residency, the health system has used EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories, with EB-3 being the more common route for PA positions given the degree requirements and labor certification process under PERM.
What qualifications does Texas Health Resources expect for sponsored Physician Assistant roles?
Texas Health Resources expects candidates to hold a master's degree from an accredited PA program and active NCCPA certification. Texas state licensure through the Texas Physician Assistant Board is required before you can practice. Many posted roles also list specialty-specific clinical experience, particularly in areas like hospital medicine, cardiology, or orthopedics, reflecting the health system's service line mix across the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Physician Assistant role at Texas Health Resources?
For an H-1B, your employer must first secure a certified LCA from the DOL, which takes around seven business days, then file the H-1B petition with USCIS. Standard processing runs three to five months; premium processing through USCIS can reduce adjudication to 15 business days. If you're pursuing an EB-3 Green Card, factor in additional time for PERM labor certification, which can add 12 months or more before the I-140 petition stage.
