Verify Your PA Credentials Meet State Requirements
California, where many Dignity Health facilities are based, requires NCCPA certification and state licensure before you can practice. Confirm your credentials are transferable and active before applying, since sponsorship timelines depend on licensure being in place.
Target Dignity Health Facilities With Ongoing PA Demand
Dignity Health operates across California, Nevada, and Arizona. Search by specific facility type, such as community hospitals or urgent care centers, since PA openings in underserved or rural locations often come with stronger sponsorship support and faster hiring decisions.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sponsored PA Openings
Filtering healthcare employers by visa sponsorship history saves significant time. Migrate Mate surfaces Dignity Health PA roles where sponsorship has been offered, so you're not cold-applying to positions that may not support your visa situation.
Confirm H-1B Eligibility Before Your First Interview
Physician Assistant roles qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS guidelines since they require at least a master's degree. Confirm your degree level meets this threshold before interviewing, since H-1B eligibility hinges on both the role definition and your specific credentials.
Ask Directly About LCA Filing Timelines During Offer Negotiation
Dignity Health's HR and legal teams must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition can proceed. Asking about their typical LCA-to-petition timeline during offer negotiation helps you plan your start date without misjudging how long the process takes.
Plan Your Green Card Pathway From the Offer Stage
Dignity Health has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for clinical roles. If long-term status matters to you, ask during offer discussions whether the role is eligible for PERM-based sponsorship, since healthcare employers vary significantly in their willingness to initiate this process.

Find Physician Assistant at Dignity Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Dignity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Physician Assistants?
Yes, Dignity Health sponsors H-1B visas for Physician Assistant roles. PA positions qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS rules because they require a master's degree-level education and national certification. Sponsorship availability can vary by facility and hiring need, so confirming with the specific hiring team during the offer stage is the most reliable approach.
How do I apply for Physician Assistant jobs at Dignity Health?
You can find open PA positions through Dignity Health's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship has been extended. When applying, tailor your materials to the specific clinical setting, whether inpatient, outpatient, or specialty care, and address your visa situation directly in your cover letter or with the recruiter early in the process.
Which visa types does Dignity Health commonly use for Physician Assistant roles?
Dignity Health primarily sponsors H-1B visas for PA hires who need nonimmigrant work authorization. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process is also available for qualifying roles. The right pathway depends on your education level, career stage, and the specific position.
What qualifications does Dignity Health expect for Physician Assistant candidates?
Dignity Health expects candidates to hold a master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program, active NCCPA certification, and a current state license in the state where the role is based. Clinical experience in the relevant specialty, such as emergency medicine, primary care, or hospital medicine, is typically required for most openings rather than being a differentiator.
How do I time my H-1B application if I receive a Dignity Health offer?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS registration typically opening in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask Dignity Health's immigration team whether a cap-exempt facility or a different status pathway applies. Building in at least six months between offer and anticipated start date helps avoid gaps in work authorization.
