Secure State Licensure Before Applying
California and other states where Dignity Health operates require active therapy licensure before you can practice. Start the licensure application early since credential evaluation, supervised hours verification, and state board processing can take several months.
Target Dignity Health's Outpatient Behavioral Health Openings
Dignity Health posts Therapist roles across both acute hospital settings and community behavioral health clinics. Outpatient positions tend to have more flexibility on start dates, giving you and the employer more runway to complete H-1B filing before your current status expires.
Ask HR Directly About Their PERM Experience
Dignity Health sponsors both H-1B and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Cards, so ask your recruiter whether they have internal immigration counsel or use an outside firm. Employers with established PERM workflows move faster and make fewer procedural errors that delay your case.
Browse Dignity Health Therapist Roles on Migrate Mate
Filtering by sponsor history saves you from applying to positions where sponsorship is uncertain. Use Migrate Mate to surface Dignity Health Therapist openings confirmed for visa sponsorship so you're only spending time on applications that can actually move forward.
Prepare a Credentials Packet Tailored to DOL Requirements
For H-1B and PERM filings, DOL requires documentation that your therapy role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Gather your transcripts, foreign credential evaluation, supervised hours logs, and any national certifications before your first HR conversation so the process doesn't stall after the offer.

Find Therapist at Dignity Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Dignity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Therapists?
Yes, Dignity Health sponsors H-1B visas for Therapist roles. The organization has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for clinical positions across its hospital and outpatient network. Because therapy roles meet the specialty occupation standard under USCIS criteria, they are well-suited for H-1B sponsorship when the candidate holds a qualifying degree in a directly related field such as social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
Which visa types does Dignity Health commonly use for Therapist roles?
Dignity Health uses H-1B visas for initial work authorization and supports EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process for longer-term positions. J-1 Conrad 30 waivers are another pathway some healthcare employers use for clinical roles, though availability depends on state allocation. Confirm which pathways Dignity Health will support for your specific role during the offer stage.
What qualifications does Dignity Health expect for Therapist positions?
Most Therapist openings at Dignity Health require a master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or marriage and family therapy, along with active state licensure or eligibility to obtain it. Clinical experience in behavioral health, hospital, or community settings strengthens your application. Dignity Health operates faith-based facilities, so familiarity with diverse patient populations and values-based care is an asset in the interview process.
How do I apply for Therapist jobs at Dignity Health?
You can find Dignity Health Therapist openings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship so you avoid wasted applications. After identifying a position, apply through Dignity Health's careers portal and flag your sponsorship needs early in the recruiter screening call. Having your licensure documentation and credential evaluation ready before the first interview accelerates the offer and filing timeline significantly.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Dignity Health Therapist role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions follow a fixed calendar: USCIS registration opens in March, selection results come in April, and approved petitions have an October 1 start date. Premium processing reduces USCIS adjudication to roughly 15 business days once the petition is filed. PERM Green Card sponsorship typically runs 12 to 18 months or longer depending on DOL processing backlogs and whether your priority date is current.
