Credential your clinical qualifications early
Healthcare roles at Texas Health Resources require state licensure and often USMLE completion or board certification. Start credential verification through your state's licensing board well before applying, as delays here stall visa petitions downstream.
Target roles with degree-specific job descriptions
H-1B eligibility depends on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation. Focus on postings that explicitly require a degree in a specific clinical or health science field, not listings where any bachelor's degree satisfies the requirement.
Understand how PERM affects your Green Card timeline
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through Texas Health Resources involves PERM labor certification filed with DOL. Recruitment for PERM must run before your petition, so factor six to twelve months of processing into your planning before a Green Card priority date is established.
Confirm sponsorship directly during the offer stage
Texas Health Resources sponsors selectively by role and department. When you reach the offer stage, ask the recruiter which visa categories the facility has approved for that specific position before signing anything or giving notice to your current employer.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open healthcare roles by sponsorship
Search for verified Healthcare positions at Texas Health Resources that align with your visa type and clinical background using Migrate Mate, which filters jobs by sponsorship history so you're not applying blind to roles that won't support your petition.
Align your H-1B cap timeline with recruitment cycles
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Target Texas Health Resources roles with enough lead time to secure an offer before registration closes, since healthcare employers often need months to complete credentialing before filing.

Find Healthcare at Texas Health Resources JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Texas Health Resources sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Texas Health Resources has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for healthcare roles. Sponsorship is handled at the role and department level, so not every open position will qualify. When you reach the offer stage, confirm with the recruiter whether the specific role and location support H-1B filing before proceeding.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Texas Health Resources?
You can apply directly through the Texas Health Resources careers portal. For international candidates, Migrate Mate is a practical starting point because it surfaces Healthcare roles at Texas Health Resources filtered by visa sponsorship history, so you can prioritize positions where sponsorship has been granted before rather than applying without that context.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Texas Health Resources?
The most common visa types for healthcare professionals at Texas Health Resources are H-1B for specialty occupation roles such as registered nurses in advanced positions, physical therapists, and clinical analysts, and employment-based Green Cards via EB-2 or EB-3 for longer-term permanent residence. The EB-3 category is frequently used for healthcare occupations where PERM labor certification is required.
What qualifications and experience does Texas Health Resources expect for Healthcare roles?
Requirements vary by role but generally include a relevant degree in a clinical or health science field, active state licensure in Texas, and in many cases board certification or USMLE completion for physician-adjacent roles. Texas Health Resources is a large regional health system, so competition for sponsored positions tends to favor candidates with prior U.S. clinical experience or completed residency training.
How do I time the visa process when pursuing a Healthcare role at Texas Health Resources?
For H-1B, USCIS runs cap registration each March for an October 1 start date, so secure your offer and have your employer ready to file within that window. For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card paths, PERM labor certification with DOL typically takes six to twelve months before USCIS sees your petition, making early planning with your employer's immigration counsel essential.
