Focus on engineering and robotics roles
Berkshire Grey's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines, robotics, software engineering, and AI. Targeting roles that align with the company's core automation technology gives you the strongest chance of qualifying for sponsorship consideration.
Understand which visa types they support
Berkshire Grey sponsors H-1B, Green Card (EB-2/EB-3), F-1 OPT, and TN visas. Knowing which category fits your background before you apply helps you frame your work authorization needs clearly and avoids awkward conversations late in the hiring process.
Time your application around the H-1B cap cycle
If you need H-1B sponsorship, approach Berkshire Grey well before the April lottery registration window. Starting conversations in January or February gives the company enough time to assess your role and prepare a registration if they move forward.
Leverage F-1 OPT as an entry point
Berkshire Grey sponsors F-1 OPT, making it a viable first employer for recent graduates. Performing well during your OPT period positions you as a strong internal candidate for H-1B sponsorship when your status requires a transition.
Highlight specialized technical skills in your application
Berkshire Grey's work sits at the intersection of AI, machine learning, and robotics hardware. Applicants who can demonstrate deep specialization in these areas are more likely to be seen as worth the investment of sponsorship than generalist candidates.
Search for open roles through a verified sponsor database
Not all job listings disclose sponsorship availability upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, making it easier to confirm Berkshire Grey is actively hiring before you invest time in an application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Berkshire Grey sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Berkshire Grey sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an active track record of supporting H-1B petitions, particularly for technical roles in software engineering, AI, and robotics. If you're targeting an H-1B, engage with their recruiting team early in the calendar year to allow time for preparation ahead of the annual cap registration window.
What visa types does Berkshire Grey sponsor?
Berkshire Grey sponsors H-1B, Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3), F-1 OPT, and TN visas. This range covers both short-term work authorization and longer-term permanent residence pathways, which is a meaningful indicator of the company's willingness to invest in retaining international employees over the long term.
Which roles at Berkshire Grey are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Berkshire Grey is concentrated in technical disciplines. Software engineers, robotics engineers, machine learning researchers, and AI systems roles are most commonly sponsored. These positions align directly with the company's core business in intelligent automation and are the roles where specialized international talent is most actively recruited.
Does Berkshire Grey sponsor Green Cards?
Yes, Berkshire Grey has sponsored Green Cards through both the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. For international employees who want a path to permanent residence, this is a significant advantage. The EB-2 route typically applies to roles requiring advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions in skilled occupations.
How do I find open jobs at Berkshire Grey that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search on Migrate Mate, which aggregates jobs from verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter specifically by visa type and company. This means you can confirm Berkshire Grey's current openings alongside their actual sponsorship history in one place, rather than guessing from a generic job listing.
