This role is responsible for building and modernizing web-based applications, developing self-service functionality for customer-facing platforms, and supporting enhancements. The ideal candidate brings strong front-end experience paired with solid back-end development skills in a Microsoft environment. This is a Jr to Mid Level role.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and enhance web-based applications that support self-service functionality for customers and internal users
Develop new features and functions for policy change, quoting, and workflow-based applications
Modernize legacy applications and services into updated front-end and back-end frameworks
Create, modify, and support web applications, WinForms applications, and remote services
Design, develop, test, and maintain software throughout the full system development life cycle
Integrate applications with Web API, RESTful services, and WCF services
Work with SQL Server and document-based data solutions to support application functionality
Contribute to customer portal improvements for home and auto-related workflows
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experience with C#, .NET, and .NET Framework
Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience developing front-end applications using Vue.js or comparable modern JavaScript frameworks
Working knowledge of Web API, RESTful services, and Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
Experience creating, modifying, and supporting web applications and remote services
Proficiency with SQL Server, XML, XSLT, and JSON
Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps for source control and development workflows
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MongoDB
Experience modernizing legacy or proprietary application platforms
Background supporting customer-facing portals or self-service applications
Exposure to home, auto, or policy administration workflows
Experience with WinForms applications
Prior experience in the personal or commercial insurance industry
