Align your portfolio to industrial marketing
Cummins markets complex engineered products to B2B buyers in sectors like power generation, trucking, and construction. Tailor your portfolio to show campaign work for technical products or industrial audiences, not just consumer brands.
Target roles tied to global product lines
Cummins structures Marketing around specific business units and regions. Roles tied to global or regional product portfolios tend to require specialized expertise, which strengthens the specialty occupation argument needed for H-1B sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring roles
Not every Marketing posting at Cummins is open to sponsored candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where Cummins has confirmed visa sponsorship, so you're not wasting applications on positions that won't proceed.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Cummins sponsors multiple visa types, but what they'll file depends on your status and the role. Before signing, confirm in writing whether they'll support H-1B cap filing, a Green Card process through PERM, or both.
Prepare documentation that ties your degree to the role
USCIS requires that your field of study directly relates to the Marketing position. If your degree is in a adjacent field like communications or business, have transcripts and course records ready to demonstrate the connection clearly.

Find Marketing at Cummins JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cummins sponsor H-1B visas for Marketings?
Yes, Cummins sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing roles. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions across corporate functions including Marketing. Because H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role and business unit, confirm sponsorship eligibility directly with the recruiter during the interview process before the offer stage.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at Cummins?
Applications go through Cummins' careers portal at cummins.com/careers. Search by function or business unit to find Marketing openings. If you need visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lists verified Cummins Marketing roles filtered by sponsorship type, so you can focus on positions where sponsorship has been confirmed rather than applying broadly.
Which visa types does Cummins commonly use for Marketing roles?
Cummins supports a range of visa categories for Marketing hires, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1, and immigrant pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 through PERM labor certification. The visa type used depends on your citizenship, education, and where you are in your career stage.
What qualifications does Cummins expect for Marketing roles?
Most Marketing roles at Cummins require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. For H-1B purposes, your degree must align with the specific role. Cummins also values experience in B2B or industrial marketing, given that the company sells engineered products to commercial and institutional buyers globally.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap cycle?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, you can work for Cummins while your H-1B is pending under the cap-gap rule, which extends your F-1 status through September 30. Starting your Cummins job search by late fall gives you time to secure an offer before the registration window opens.
