About the team and the role:
Caramel, a subsidiary of eBay, is a fast-growing auto tech company founded in 2021 that is redefining the car sale process for independent dealer and private party car sales.
Many independent dealers struggle to access the tools, partners, and workflows they need to complete diverse types of car sales efficiently and safely. Caramel empowers these dealers with great F&I partners, the ability to bypass time-consuming administrative work (paperwork, title work, and lending operations), and a process that enables them to transact confidently and profitably with consumers across the US.
As part of our dealer channel expansion, the Dealer Activation Manager, Dealer Channel will grow Caramel’s independent dealer base, deepen relationships with producing dealers, and advance our dealer-focused product strategy. This role reports to the Manager, Dealer Sales, works closely with the Dealer Account Executive team, and partners with the Head of Dealer Services. It is a home-based position with travel for field selling, dealer visits, and industry conferences.
Note: This role will cover the U.S. South territory, including Florida and neighboring states (such as Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Louisiana).
What you will accomplish:
- Acquire and activate new independent dealers across assigned territories, delivering measurable growth in quarterly dealer sign-ups and faster ramp to first transactions.
- Re-engage lapsed partners and expand producing dealer relationships to increase repeat business, territory coverage, and wallet share.
- Build a high-quality pipeline through disciplined outbound outreach and in-person visits; accelerate conversion with tailored discovery, demos, and closing conversations.
- Deliver compelling demos that quantify Caramel’s value: streamlined financing, documentation, and title/DMV workflows that enable safer, faster transactions nationwide.
- Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene to improve forecast accuracy, pipeline visibility, and conversion insights; share structured feedback to refine messaging, scripts, and playbooks.
- Represent Caramel at dealer events and industry conferences to generate event-driven pipeline, gather market intelligence, and inform product enhancements and competitive positioning.
What you will bring:
- 2–5+ years of B2B sales experience with proven outbound prospecting, territory management, and end-to-end pipeline conversion; automotive, auto finance, or dealership experience preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office, with a disciplined approach to data, dashboards, and forecasting.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with internal collaborators and dealer partners.
- High ownership, organization, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment; willingness to travel for field selling, dealer visits, and conferences.
- Understanding of compliance and licensing requirements, with the ability to stay current on state-specific motor vehicle sales regulations and dealership practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Align your resume to eBay's seller ecosystem
eBay Sales roles often focus on growing merchant accounts or B2B partnerships rather than direct consumer sales. Frame your experience around revenue growth, account retention, or marketplace strategy to match how eBay defines Sales impact internally.
Target roles on the Seller Experience team
eBay's Seller Experience and Partner Development teams are active hiring areas for Sales talent. Searching those specific team names in eBay's careers portal surfaces roles more likely to carry sponsorship support than a broad Sales category search.
Confirm sponsorship before your final interview round
eBay's recruiting process moves quickly once you're in late-stage interviews. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific role is eligible for visa sponsorship before you get to the offer stage, so there are no surprises during negotiation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter eBay Sales openings by visa type
Not every Sales role at eBay carries the same sponsorship eligibility. Migrate Mate lets you filter eBay's open Sales positions by the visa types they support, saving you time on applications that won't lead to a sponsored offer.
Start H-1B cap planning well before your OPT expires
The H-1B cap lottery runs once per year with a registration window in March. If you're on F-1 OPT, count backward from your OPT end date to confirm whether you have time for one lottery cycle or need to negotiate a start date with eBay accordingly.
Request a PERM timeline conversation before signing an offer
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, ask eBay's immigration team during offer negotiation about their typical PERM initiation timeline for Sales roles. DOL PERM processing can take a year or more, so knowing their process upfront shapes your long-term planning.

Does eBay sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, eBay sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Sales positions. Sponsorship is most common for roles that require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, which Sales positions tied to account management, business development, or marketplace strategy can satisfy. Confirm eligibility for the specific role with your recruiter before advancing through the interview process.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at eBay?
Applications go through eBay's official careers site. Search by function using terms like 'Account Executive,' 'Partner Development,' or 'Seller Success' to find Sales-aligned openings. You can also browse eBay's open Sales roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which narrows results to positions that are actively open to international candidates.
Which visa types does eBay commonly sponsor for Sales positions?
eBay sponsors a broad range of visa types for Sales roles, including H-1B, E-3 (for Australian citizens), TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT for students, and J-1 for exchange visitors. For longer-term pathways, eBay also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does eBay expect for sponsored Sales roles?
Most sponsored Sales roles at eBay require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Beyond credentials, eBay typically looks for experience with account management, marketplace platforms, or B2B sales cycles. Familiarity with e-commerce or retail technology is a strong differentiator given eBay's marketplace business model.
How do I time my application if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting eBay?
If your OPT has fewer than 12 months remaining when you join eBay, the company would need to file an H-1B cap petition during the next March registration window and request a cap-gap extension to bridge any gap in work authorization. Apply to eBay Sales roles at least six months before your OPT end date to give both sides enough runway to coordinate the USCIS filing timeline.
