Align your credentials to utility project work
ENTRUST operates heavily in electric and gas utility consulting, so certifications like NETA or NICET carry real weight here. Document field experience with high-voltage systems, substation work, or grid infrastructure before you apply, since these match the roles ENTRUST consistently hires for.
Target roles tied to infrastructure contracts
ENTRUST's Electrical Technician openings are often tied to long-term utility client contracts, which gives your sponsorship a more stable foundation. Prioritize applying to postings that reference multi-year project scopes, since those are the roles most likely to support visa filing timelines.
Confirm H-1B specialty occupation framing early
USCIS requires Electrical Technician roles to meet specialty occupation standards for H-1B approval. Before accepting an offer, ask HR how the role is framed in the LCA and I-129 petition to confirm your specific duties and degree requirement are clearly documented.
Prepare for PERM timelines if targeting a Green Card
ENTRUST sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but DOL's PERM labor certification process routinely takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 is even filed. If permanent residence is your goal, raise it during the offer stage so the timeline is built into your employment plan.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship postings
Not every Electrical Technician posting at ENTRUST will specify visa support in the job description. Use Migrate Mate to filter for ENTRUST roles confirmed to offer sponsorship, so you're applying where your immigration status is already accounted for.
Extend OPT strategically before the H-1B cap opens
If you're on F-1 OPT, ENTRUST does sponsor CPT and OPT roles, but the H-1B cap registration window opens only once per year in March. Time your offer negotiation so your OPT or STEM extension covers you through the next cap cycle without a gap in work authorization.

Find Electrical Technician at ENTRUST Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ENTRUST Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Technicians?
Yes, ENTRUST Solutions Group sponsors H-1B visas for Electrical Technician roles. Because the H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, your role will need to be framed around a specific technical discipline, typically electrical engineering or a closely related field, with a corresponding degree requirement clearly documented in the Labor Condition Application.
How do I apply for Electrical Technician jobs at ENTRUST Solutions Group?
You can find Electrical Technician openings through ENTRUST's careers page or by browsing Migrate Mate, which filters postings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm the role supports your immigration status before applying. Tailor your resume to reflect utility or infrastructure project experience, since that aligns most closely with ENTRUST's core consulting work.
Which visa types does ENTRUST Solutions Group commonly use for Electrical Technician roles?
ENTRUST sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, EB-2, and EB-3 visas for Electrical Technician positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or technician categories. EB-2 and EB-3 are employment-based Green Card paths that ENTRUST supports for longer-tenured hires, with EB-3 being the more common route for technician-level roles.
What qualifications does ENTRUST Solutions Group expect for Electrical Technician positions?
ENTRUST typically looks for candidates with a degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering or electrical technology, alongside hands-on field experience. Familiarity with utility systems, substation equipment, power distribution, or instrumentation is a strong differentiator. Certifications such as NETA, NICET, or state electrical licenses strengthen your application, particularly for roles supporting long-term utility client contracts.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Electrical Technician at ENTRUST Solutions Group?
H-1B sponsorship follows a fixed annual timeline. USCIS opens cap registration in March, with employment starting October 1 if selected. OPT and CPT authorizations move faster and can bridge the gap. If ENTRUST pursues a Green Card through PERM-based EB-2 or EB-3, expect the DOL labor certification stage alone to take 12 to 18 months before the I-140 petition is filed.
